Is the Intrepid class in this? If it isn't I think I might cry
All of the above mentioned ships will be in 0.03 The Federations 15 ship lineup is complete. Also the Klingon lineup is complete. The Romulans still need some ships imported, and modeling work done.
The reason we are using only 15 ships (not including strike craft, builders, and civilian units) is because while the game itself can support more units. The User Interface can not. It only has space for the default sins units (pictures, icons, etc).
Again i will not discuss the research until work starts on demo 0.04. However we do plan on making researches for Quantum Torpedos, and Ablative Armour. Along with buffs for phasers, and photons. Other factions will get similar researches.
There is a picture in the forum on the sins website that was posted by darkshimmer.
In it there appears to be the Intrepid, Nebula, Sovereign, Steamrunner and another i think is a Constellation class. There are others as well but we've seen them before. The ones mentioned are not in 0.02 but will be in 0.03 by the looks of it and from what we hear from the devs.

what sorts of thing will be in the new reasearch trees once they are finished?
hey i was wondering if you guys are going to make the defense satellites a bit stronger? cuz as it is they serve no purpose other then to just slow down your attack they don't really do much damage.
also i was wondering why there was no sovereign class in the demo?
For 0.03 we are focusing only on ships, weapons, and balancing. The Sovereign was not in 0.02 because we wanted only canon Dominion War era ships in that release. The ship lineups in 0.03 have been completely redone, and will include the Sov. In fact the entire mod is being re-built from scratch for the Sins 1.1 update.
Structures will be a priority in the final demo 0.04. Along with proper research trees, and finishing up the LCAR's UI.
If you havn't noticed the mod is being worked on, and released in stages.. The demos are these stages that will lead up to the full mod. 0.04 should be the last stage before adding the final spit and polish for the full mod.
So in 0.04 when you sort out the research are you going to change the ship weapons from beam, plasma, missle, etc to phasers, torpedos, disruptors and the like or is that earlier or later?
Are you going to change the resources and antimatter for special abilities as well?
We plan on using appropriate names for the researches. Im not going to discuss any more 0.04 stuff until after the 0.03 release, because 0.04 is way in the future. All i can say is we plan on tackling the research tree's, and finally add proper structures to the mod. A demo 0.05 will depend on how much work is left to do before the full mod release.
0.03 is now adapted to the 1.1 patch, but is not going to be released until each faction has all 15 of its ship slots full, and balanced. The Feds are done (minus balancing). The Klingons, and Romulans are almost done. Just a few more ships to go. The Dominion alliance is almost done too. No need for ship suggestions, or stat suggestions. What we now have is set in stone.
Yeah, i´m looking for 0.03 too every day ^^
