Sacrifice of Angels is a mod for Homeworld set during the Dominion War that ravaged the Alpha Quadrant during the last few seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The mod uses the Homeworld engine to render fast paced starship combat in full 3D, and includes over 80 different starship types seen in or inspired by the Star Trek phenomenon.

Take command of either the Federation allied fleets and command brave Federation, Klingon, and Romulan soldiers to defend the Alpha quadrant or use deadly Jem'Hadar, Cardassian, and Breen vessels to impose your will on the inferior Federation.

The final version of Sacrifice of Angels has been released. This version of the mod has been collecting dust on our (ex) team members' hard drives for a while and I wanted to take a moment to share it with the public.

Please enjoy. Note that this mod is no longer being developed or supported, I am simply sharing the last version of our work to those who are interested.

You can download the zip file here.

Does anyone know if this comes with the level with a Borg cube in it? I seem to remember that being part of this mod.

Wow. This is like buried treasure to me. I decided to take a stroll through memory lane to visit my old Space: Above and Beyond mod for Homeworld and came across this mod. I followed and played this mod heavily when I frequented this site and TGU years ago.

Kudos to you guys for keeping it alive and finishing what you started!

Im VERY glad to see someone is still developing older mods for Homeworld. Frankly, I would love to see the Space: Above and Beyond mod for Homeworld come back to life. I still have all the stuff for it.

Mod works perfectly!!! just copy everything in your Homeworld folder, just one thing to be aware (unless i missed something) you cant go back to vanilla once its in the folder you'll have to install it again to play Vanilla HW1.

It absolutely drags you into the DS9 atmosphere, the ships, Firing arcs, sounds... everything!!! put the AI on hard and enjoy!!!! this beats Armada 1 and 2 alltogether, they can go back in the trash bin.

and BTW... I think this mod fits better in Homeworld 1 than Homeworld two. the formations system is quite useful i dunno what I would do without it xD

Stress,
I didn't even see this comment here, even though it's been on the profile for a while. I've posted this file in the official download section of the mod now.

Extract all of the contents into your Homeworld directory. Just like it says.

Make sure you open your zip to see the folders r1, r2, p1, p2, etc. etc. then select all, and drag them into your homeworld directory.

Make sure you Homeworld game is updated with the 1.05 patch.
