I can tell you that they were firing at a romulan starbase from great distance. The starbase didn't make it ;)

i am following this mod with great anticipation - couple of questions if i may ....... what is the fleet cap like and is there an extended line up of ships per race in contrast to the 'handpicked' list that mods like Soa2 has for the sins series?
There isn't a hugely extended lineup of ships, the Federation had the most canon ships to pick from so a healthy lineup was chosen for them and the Klingons and Romulans were then made to match up with that.
There are small, default and large ship population caps available, so massive fleets are within the scope of this game.
