This mod will be a full space and land conversion for the Forces of Corruption expansion to Empire at War. I plan to have three different GC maps, each a different era in star trek. For skirmish battles, each upgrade(to a total of 3) will allow you access to new ships, there will be 3 factions for skirmish as well(star fleet, klingons, and a third faction) I hope to get more members to help make this mod, we need another coder and modeler, and a skinner, so if u wish to join and help develop this mod, send me a pm OR an email @ q789983 @ yahoo .com all help is welcome, and if you wish to "donate" some models, textures, maps, codes, ideas,ect. please feel free to do so. Hello my dear friends, welcome to the first Star Trek at War update in ages. I know you are all bursting with anticipation waiting for this mod to be completed. While at first the mod started out at a steady pace, it's now going at a slow, unsteady pace. Nothing has been done as far as the gameplay, such as models or codes, but I have finished what I believe will be the splash screen for when the mod loads up. I'm pleased with how it looks overall, if anyone thinks they can add in a cool logo behind the ships and captain busts, go ahead and send me the end result in a PM here on moddb, i'll credit you fully if it makes it in.

On a different note, you know that the mod's been inactive, and not much will be done for a while still, until a few friends of mine are finished with their own stuff. As I've said before in comments, I'm hopefully going to be getting help from some really good people, the leaders of Sci Fi at War, and Galaxies at War. Congratulations to both of them on their successful mods, and I wish them the best of luck.

Finally, on this update, I'm going to again ask you, the community of Star Trek at War, for help. If you have any ability to pitch in with a little bit of work, be it just one model ready for use in the game, or a full part place in the development of the mod, let me know in either a PM here on moddb. I really need help for this mod to become a reality, I've had quite a few people tell me that they really count on this mod to do something that is not seen in the Star Wars Empire at War modding community - a full Star Trek conversion.

Model done for the Star Trek at War mod for FoC this is not a perfect model but as close to the real thing as I could make it. Feel free to tweak it...

you could make the transport for the land units like a constutution class ship or something, but add hardpoints, or something =)

constitution is way too big for atmospheric landings, and it's not even built do land on planets. If I cannot get a "Beam" effect like they are being teleported to the surface, then I'll have them land in a shuttle

Actually the Constitution wouldn't be to big to land on a planet surface as its only 289 metres long (remember that the Intrepid Class is 344 metres and that is atmospheric capable), the thing which stops it is the fact it has no landing struts.

no landing struts, too big to be a landing craft espically in the EaW engine... (if you think when units in vanilla are landed, and replacing them landing shuttles with a gigantic constitution....it would NOT fit on the screen and would look ******)

for your ground units. perhaps you could use some units from star treko online and make the squads one person so you can get like 5 secruity officers a medical officer and an engineer who will have diferent ability's and you can get higher rank one with each tech level e.g. crewman ensign and luitenant

the infantry unit for the federation would probably be
1. Away team: Three security officers, one medical, one engineer per squad
2. Advanced Away Team: Four Security officers, one engineer per squad
3. Attack Squad: 5 Security Officers
4. Battle Unit: Heavily armed Security Officers 5 per squad

Each unit that you "build" would be like 2 - 3 squads
Possibly, if the game engine allows, the land units will be brought in like they are being "beamed" down, if there is a way to make the graphics in EaW do that

yes it is possible, i recommend you ask merlin from stargate empire at war, that mod has goauld rings on some goauld heroes instead of using ships coming down (wich is the same as energising but + the rings) so i think ask him, he might tell you
