Fleet Operations is a popular skirmish and multiplayer orientated total conversion modification for Activision's real-time strategy game Star Trek Armada II. The project's goal was not only to create a simple "modification" but as total conversion to make Armada II a worthy successor to the second best selling Star Trek game Star Trek: Armada (behind Interplay's Star Trek: 25th Anniversary by a small, but fair margin).
The first public version of Fleet Operations was released in 2003. Today, version 3 includes a whole new user interface, an updated game and graphics engine, completely replaced ship models, 5 balanced races with totally new gameplay and tons of new possibilities making Armada II a real real-time strategy multiplayer game.

T his patch - most importantly - fixes the frequent, frustrating multiplayer out of sync (OOS) problems, some of which that have been present since the first 3.0.0 release. These issues made playing cooperative AI games online nearly impossible without resulting in a desync and eliminated the possibility to use wormhole-rich multiplayer maps.
We would like to thank everybody profusely who was involved in those long and tedious (but fruitful!) hours of out of sync testing.
The multiplayer Tunngle integration is also fixed, allowing you to immediately jump into the correct Fleet Operations lobby to play online games!
Although this is not the long awaited next version - rest assured, 4.0 is still well on track. These bug fixes are a direct result of work on our next version.
3.2.7 comes as a full install. A previous installation of Fleet Operations or Armada II is NOT required. An incremental patch from earlier versions of Fleet Operations is not available.

Patch 3.1.3 is only compatible with a previous 3.1.x installation. Patching an earlier version (3.0.7 and below) will result in a corrupt installation.

r some of the ships not suppose to be able to build like the steamrunner the nebula galaxy ambassador cos there r odf's for the ships in the folder but some of them arnt in game as far as i no. excuse me if this has already been asked.
those ships are available using the federation reinforcement warp-in station, it calls 3 ships e.g. steamrunner, Galaxy, Excelcior and more
Help! in-game UI is broken and blank and a few ships appear as strange floating error messages!
My first game was fine, but ever since I downloaded the latest patch the entire HUD is just a bunch of blank rectangles
Disregard. I downloaded 3.0 instead of 3.1 and then tried to patch it. That is why my game was corrupted
Awesome mod, i play it all the time with my friends :D
the new textures and models are amazing, and the music is great too.
There is only one problem, The Borg AI does some things it's not supposed to.
Building resource node from a con ship, or the (forgot the name) thing that builds ships isn't destroyed after they make a ship on it, instead they make massive fleets from 1 of those things in a few minutes.
Also i don't really like the limitation on how many phalanx, newton and (those fighter ships) class, if you did it to prevent seriously overpowered fleets, build 20-30 Defiants and you can destroy everyone on the map :P (my dad likes to crush me and my friends that way. They can even destroy 3 tactical cubes at the same time!(then again, 30 ships is a lot. especially tiny fighters with the firepower of sovereigns))
I see a lot of comments below me that want the cardassians and 8472 back, but i don't care for them and would like the borg AI fixed first.
But still.. Awesome!!

This is an amazing mod, it's Armada II the way it should have been.
Personaly to me this is one of the greatest mods for armada 2 yet, here is my review:
Pros : HIGHLY inproved graphics, Much larger battles with less lag ,love the vet system makes my bad *** ships BADDER XD , Overall great but heres the cons : removed cardassians DARN removed 8472 bad Dominion battle cruiser moddel ai cant mine its own resorces so i can only have BIG battles with unlimited resorces so no singleplayer strategy just shoot em up andmy WORST con : u can only gey ships like the galaxy class and original exlsior class with warp in so no building em PLEASE MAKE A YARD THAT BUILDS EM AND FIX PROMETEUS I SAW IT IN THE ODF and put it in the game but it had no torps but did have its MVAM. if the team of fleet ops would fix all of this then the Fleet Ops mod would truely be THE BEST mod out there 100% o shop chop gentlemen!
Warp-in is so you can get some of the special old rust-buckets from the shows. If you want a Sovereign, you should build it.
Prometheus will be worked on I know, right now the devs haven't really found a role for it.
I think you're referring to the V13 (other models look fine to me), well it does look like a big toy made of rubber and plastic.
