Loyal people of Cardassia. I'd like to share with you a little of our development process. In the following video, I make an icon for the Cardassian Korinas class and show off a little of the new iconography that's going into game. Let me know what other things you want to see us doing and I'll do my level best.

Hopefully this was a little informative, and it shows some of the things you all wanted to see.

If I had to suggest something, it will be reasearch tree for new ships, AI just rush for latest cruisers and battleships too fast (me too) and skip 90% of ships
Would be cool to have to research whole tech tree to get to last strongest ships

I prefer if ALL ships remain useful in some way or form, for me I keep my fleets mixed... it looks nice and all ships have useful stuff :P

I remember in birth of the federation game the Cardassians had the tank-iest ships, although they had the worst maneuvering and were slow moving compared to klingons and romulans

it was as such:

1-Federation ships had a good balance between hull/weapons/and maneuverability and had great shields

2-the Romulans had fast ships good shielding and poor hulls and good weapon damage although the plasma torpedoes lost damage if fired from long range and of course cloaking

3-the Klingons much like the romulans had good shields and poor hulls but even better maneuverability and kick *** weapons and some cloaking abilities, though their ships suffer from the fact that 90% of their weapons are pointed forward :P

4-the Cardassians had insanely tanky ships great shields with kick *** hulls that would put the borg to shame, though their weapons lacked the Klingon/romulan burst punch and they move like turtles, the Cardassians relied on tight formation battle groups that made their fleets move as if though they were a starbase with engines

What is good shielding when everyone has good shielding?

well klingons have better frontal shields while federation ships seem to have better over all shields for example

in the game the best shields were on federation ships followed by Cardassians

Is it possible to make the ship movement even faster. I currently have them on faster but they are pretty slow. I enjoy faster games where the entire game hinges on split second decision making as an enemy fleet can warp in at any time. I was fighting against hard Romulans and while I was fighting Orion Pirates a large Romulan fleet invaded on of my worlds. They destroyed the small defensive fleet I left there including my very first captial ship that I loved so much - the USS Vanguard a level five Ambassador class. Unfortunately for the Romulans my vengeance was swift and I pummelled them into oblivion. I was thinking about evenfaster ship speeds while playing SOAGE and amazed by the super fast speeds of the Jedi Venator. Although I am aware slower ship speeds fits better with the ships of Star Trek.

Secondly will the access to the call in reinforcements ability from the Federation hanger bays be changed. It becomes redundant if I'm not allied with the Klingons or are playing with/against them at all.

Regardless this mod continues to amaze me. I've never zoomed into the Enterprise while it was using the Corbomite Reflector. Sufficed to say I was nursing a semi.
Oh and I never realized how awesome the Romulans can be to play as.

Keep up the stellar work!

In effect, yes. The ablative armor is a universal ability that doesn't just affect Borg weapons, but all weapons. So this ability would be more along the lines of one of the all purpose abilities. The Transphasic torpedoes could be called the anti-Borg weapon. It would have to be toned down a bunch and cost a healthy amount of antimatter so as it cannot be spammed but one torp should be enough to heavily damage a cube and destroy non cap ships in one shot.
