As many of you following the progress of the Mod are aware, the team have been diligently working on HD re-textures, Skyboxes etc as well as incorporating the research trees in for the Federation and the Klingons.
We have showcased countless screen shots of the wonderful models and textures incorporated by Maxloef as well as the research trees also by Max and Technophobeus and lets not forget the great loading screen artwork by Killallewoks. Of course not forgetting the music and sfx remastering and UI designs by yours truly.
Nonetheless we as a team thought it was a bout time you got to see a little more of what the game itself looks like, rather than simple news blurbs and static screen shots. So please enjoy these three raw footage recordings of a MP game test we ran yesterday. They will showcase allot of the elements we have talked about from abilities to ship models and textures, music and sfx etc etc all running in game as of the current build.

That's a tough one to answer. As you can see (hopefully) we're well into the development process BUT, and it's a big but, there's a great deal of work to do yet.
Suffice to say we're working hard at it, and in spite of working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, I'm putting a little time in daily for the research coding.
As to a ballpark date, I'll have to leave that to our lead, Max.
P.S I'm keeping an eye on the mod you're a part of, 40,000 sins, and it's a great idea. The sins engine will make for awesome 40K space battles. Looking forward to see what you make of it.
Wow! I had no idea much time and resources were being put into it. I can't tell you how thankful I am, to all of you, you're doing this...just because you love this game so much!

Enjoying that this game is more or less an continuation to Star Trek Armada II. So what faction will be the Pirate Faction? Will it be the ones that hate the Cards forget the name. lol

Are they going to be as bad as they are in SOA2? Those pirates are the worst.
for every comparison I hear about SOA2, I shall delay the mod by a month. So that's 6 months in the last week by my count.
But seriously, all jokes aside, we're hoping they'll be good heheh. Nothing has been finalised with regards to the pirates as of yet, so if you have any ideas please share them.
I have played SOA2, and can't really remember the pirates from it as it was a while back, but frankly as I feel they did some lovely work in other areas, particularly their research trees.
I don't really approve of people criticising other modders hard work on our page. They've worked very hard and have put out a labour of love that must have taken hundreds, if not thousands of man hours to complete and they're still there, supporting and updating their mod as time goes by. If you feel that their mod could benefit from any improvements I'm sure they'd really like to hear your input. On their page. Not ours.

i saw the capital ships for the federation and was just wondering whether the Prometheus class will be featured in the mod and how powerful it will be/what abilities it will have.
ps. mod looks great; i'm a star trek fan and always thought when I got sins that it would be a great star trek game
oooh, that's a hard one to answer. It's not in the mod right now, but it just might end up in there. We all like the ship's design and we'd love to see it in the mod, but the multi vector assault wouldn't be possible unfortunately (although we could technically duplicate the ship into 3 of them for a short period, but they'd all look like the full vessel, not its constituent parts). Might be included as a production vessel that doesn't include that function however.
TBH this mod deserves better than the title STar Trek Armada 3. Sins + the incredible efforts were seeing here do NOT remind me of a STA2 sequel. I am glad i have an awesome PC though. i want to see this fluid and smooth.
