The problem with a lot of these April Fools jokes is that I wish they were real.
It even worse when it is not yet April fools so you have no clue if it's a joke or not so you just sit and pray that it is true.

Despite this being an April Fools joke, have you ever considered working with STA3 devs ?
We actually cooperate quite a bit. For example, Bane was one of the main devs of STAIII, as well as now being a full member of the Ascendancy team, and I'm going to be helping out on Nemesis in some places.
And, as you can see, we're also all making Trekwars together, which some are saying is a lead contender for MotY for the next 6 years straight.
I misread that and thought you were doing something based on William Shatner's TekWar. That'll teach me to slow down and read...

I hope that IF this would become an actual mod, that the scaling is lore-friendly (example: Galaxy class is 642 meters long, ISD 1600 meters)

I wish there was some mod that let me use factions from different mods against eachother
could be fun it it were true. the assets are there. would just need a lot of work coding and blancing :(
Well, one of the reasons that this is just an aprils fools, is that the game engine is dying just to run sta3, it would never be able to support an entire extra faction, its an ooooold 32-bit engine mate ;)
Well... as you may know by now, Stardock recently updated the game engine. It's 64bit now and can use up to 4 GB of RAM.... :D
Actually, its still 32-bit, stardock just integrated laa into the game, an application which tricked the game into using 4gb of ram which most sins mods already used :D

I personally am very definitely on the side of Wars, but they did have a bit of an advantage in this scenario. I mean, take a look at the 2 sides. Wars has, what 15 Star Destroyers, while Trek has maybe half a dozen Capital ships, max? (I saw 3 Galaxies and 2 Nebulas, but even if I missed some, there can't have been more than 10), plus a few dozen smaller escorts like Akiras and Excelsiors. I'm sure that even the most hardcore trekkie would admit that an outdated ship like Excelsior wouldn't stand a chance against an Imperial-Class.
