I just noticed the insignia on the front of it, and the color is a bit different. Very subtle between refit and final.

Awesome look beast, one thing I never got with the warbirds was that they meant to be more powerful than a galaxy yet in the show they never really demonstrated that power.

The sheer size of the D'deridex warbird was supposed to strike fear in the ranks of the enemy, so that use of weapons could be lowered to a minimum, effectively limiting casualties, because if you destroy a D'deridex it sends a message that the Romulans are weaker than they would have you think they are.

i quite like this site for a comparison of how strong starship classes are:
Flatfingers-theory.blogspot.co.uk

i see your point about the d'deridex. i think it is definitely stronger than a galaxy class. but u never see it fight, even in the dominion war u saw fleets of them but they never fought anything: the battles seemed to only show klingon and federation vessels shooting

The only major battle you see them in is in the ep where yhey and the cardassians attack the founders homeworld but they seem to be no match at all more the more manoeuvrable jem hadar attack ships

Description

To keep with the theme of yesterdays shots, next up is the D'deridex class and it's refits. Starting from early TNG appearance to late DS9. Enjoy
