I've always had a problem running STA 3 A Call To Arms, I install in correctly. But after 10 or so minutes, it crashes. No crash report. Just. Dead. And it crushes me.
Definately LAA related :)
It's strange though. I use LAA, and I've watched the install instructions. But it just doesn't work for long...At least I've got YouTube, to watch others play it. It's amazing what mods are created. I'd love to see what you guys could do if you made your own video game.

Can some one upload a cracked LLA game exe pls.
First, find your Sins.exe, located by default here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion
The relevant file is simply called 'Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion'. This is your Sins.exe. Right click, go into Properties and ensure that the .exe is NOT set to Read Only.
Then go to wherever you're keeping your CTA files and open the program called Large Address Aware.
Browse and select your Sins.exe mentioned above. Tick the box indicating that yes, you want the game to access more than 2GB of memory, and click 'Save'.
Start the game.

But game still crashing fast.

Unnecessary and risky.
Unnecessary because you had just uncheck the "Read Only" check box and apply the LAA.
Risky because that is a cracked .exe for skip the CD/DVD checkup and this community not supports cracks, hacks or whatever illegal.

me and my friend figured it out. You didnt install LAA correctly. Believe me. Just look up a youtube video and follow it to the detail. Or else it wont work
what do u search on youtube to find these videos cause i cant find anything about lAA

Is this a new version, or is it simply 1.2.1 with LAA and the EnabledMods.txt?
I started one night and finished through the next morning but I was able to get STA3 installer version (from December 2014 version) up and running. Sorry, newbie here. Anyway, the game is awesome! I had a total Nerd-gasm! Now my question is this, is it worth replacing it with this newer version? Help me out folks.
well we fix a lot each version so the choice as they say is yours :)
downloaded both the zip files, re-installed, done LAA and everything else correctly but this version crashes before it even loads up... any advice?
also since deleting the mods and following the install video the standard sins game loads but not the mod....
same for me.followed install video exacally.but the game just runs normal sins.even tried turning on mods in game window..I can't understand how brilliant minds can produce a mod like this,but can't make an installer...
installers are complicated because youd need one for each OS as windows has the Sins mod folder in different locations, you see with game installers its all pretty much program files, with mods we have to aim for the games own my games folder which is different across the windows OS's

Any idea what would keep this mod from "loading"? I've installed and reinstalled 3 times now, every time correctly for sure. When I launch the game it just runs as normal rebellion even though if I go to the mods list in game it says it is running. It's simply like sins isn't loading the mod at all even though it thinks it is, if that makes sense? I've tried messing with the txt file toggling it off an on, that works correctly, but when on same thing, nothing for CTA loads at all. </3 Any ideas?

And if it matters - i7 930 @ 2.80ghz, 16 gigs ram (LAA seems to work fine) Windows 7 Home Premium, GeForce GTX 780 Ti
Check that the mod directory is not empty. When I first tried to extract the files (incorrectly) I created an extra folder/sub-directory that was empty.
The folder I actually wanted was two levels down. :( To fix it I cut and pasted everything in the lower folder to the next higher folder and renamed the higher folder with the correct name.
This is where my files live now:
C:\Users\GreenDragon\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.82\star-trek-armada-3-1.2.1
So go take a look. I hope this helps. :)
to all those struggling with installing, please do the following steps in correct order:
1) Delete any remnants of previous CTA in your rebellion mods folder
2) Download the new version and unzip into the rebellion mods folder
3) Load the LAA app and apply it to the sins executable located in the steamapps folders, you must first make sure you have gone to its properties and removed the read only tag!
once LAA is set...enjoy!
I read the changelog and it said something about two new fed capital ships and some cruiser and frigate re balancing, but when i launch the game everything is the exact same. I have deleted all of 1.2 and replaced it with 1.2.1, the large address aware is active, and the enabledmods file is correct. Am I doing something wrong?

I believe that was concerning an add-on, not the base game.
Yeah I found out that some of the things that were mentioned are in the game, so it probably is concerning the add-on.

When i try to download the mod with the other version the game crashes and i cant find any mirrors for this version.
if i zoom in to much the user interface wigs out, badly. What is the recommended graphics settings???
I have tried to re-download this to get rid of the problem, but it remains, tried to change the graphics settings, same result. i took a screenshot to show what happens, where do i send it?

ok I started playing this mod not so long ago, maybe missed something, but when I play against the borg one single cube slaughters half my fleet, then I see them bring 3 tacticals and 3 cubes, ok so I deside lets paly the bord and see how they manage that, instead my buildings seem to be made of papper, my spehers cant handle a punch, my capitals get blown by 5 seconds of 10 ships figing at them and they were high lvl and had +51%hp research
but what ****** me the most was my cowardly unicomplex tier 1 was losing 2k hp a second, for no aperent reason, the moment the enemy ships entered the planets gravity well , and it was outside their shoting range, anyone can explain me why?

Guys, please help after instalation and starting a game it just crashes. Game informs me about problem and that it created temp-dump fiel, but can't find it. Without mod game is normally running. It crashwhen: 1) I install mod with enablemod.txt - then stanby screen of the mod is shown and meanwhile game crashesh. 2) When I instal mod without enablemods.txt, then game runs normally and when I try to turn the mod on through a game panel - happens same as in 1). Please help I don't know what to do. I have 1.52 version
1.52 is your problem right there you need version 1.82
