"Of course, I couldn't just do the lower deck. The Skadovsk's mid deck is getting the same treatment: Tremor gets a fully equipped medical bay, Cardan gets a real workshop, Duty and Freedom's respective rooms are a little more fleshed out, and Owl's shop is more like a shop.

There's a lot that isn't visible from this angle, and of course it's still waiting for Beac to do a clutter pass, so it'll be looking a lot less bare when you reach the Skadovsk in-game.

Seriously amazing work. With regards to clutter, I think vanilla STALKER always was fairly barren when it came to the indoors. And honestly, that's fine. Only having a couple of items on shelves (instead of loads of misc gear, which would be realistic) actually adds to the mood of barren survival. I'm not sure if adding in loads of clutter would affect performance overall, but if it does safe to say that STALKER fans are used to rooms containing furniture and not much else, so we would never be bothered by a lack of fine detail.

I hope you will flesh out the ship, personality wise. I think it would be great to see a couple of grizzled Zone veterans who are Beards mates, who are there in "retirement" merely to keep the peace in the bar and make sure it's a neutral zone. After all, history shows often even the fiercest of human enemies have traditionally put it aside for mutual safety when an outside danger threatens both.

Why are Duty and Freedom on the Skadovsk again?

They're on the Skadovsk to recruit and expand: it's the hub for Stalkers in the area, and well-defended - it wouldn't be safe for them to establish their own bases until they have more and better-equipped troops.

I understand it from a lore perspective, but from a gameplay perspective, I thought that was the point of Yanov Station. I hope the modders add Duty and Freedom presence in Zaton as well as new related sidequests.

Freedom and Duty will have occasional, poorly equipped patrols in Zaton. If you follow their respective questlines, you can help them establish/retake a base out in Zaton proper. We haven't decided yet whether that means moving Freedom/Duty out of the Skadovsk entirely, or leaving a token few (1 or 2) if/when you help them get their bases set up.

Are you part of the development team? If so, thank you for addressing my concerns!

I am. I do a lot of this sort of set dressing, and writing. Should have one of those neat little gizmos under my avatar that says "Creator" soon, too, so as to reduce confusion.

Looks good.
I was just shocked because I thought it is the Main Deck.

What is the Main Deck? There are new NPCs get there and new quests?

I'm not a sailor - I may well have got the names wrong. What I'm calling the main deck is the large bay with Beard's bar and so on. Both the bay/main deck and the middeck will have some new NPCs and lots of new quests (we're focusing on adding quests to existing NPCs where it makes sense, as opposed to adding new NPCs just for quests.)

That's the best way, I added lots of additional characters in Devolution, Some were fine but I would of been better of giving a lot of the things to the usual suspects. Having said that I was able to get recognizable characters like Scar, Wolf and Doc from the Russian communities resources and I liked being able to add them in.

Your main deck is actually called the lower deck, because the machines are there included. Look at the picture here: Upload.wikimedia.org

I meant the deck where Nimble sitting, there is so much of unused space.
It makes me sad when I see it, because then I think of the possibilities.

And what's with the sister ship Shevchenko? Where Spartacus is sitting on.
There's also quite a lot of space, maybe you can make it into a small outpost of stalker?

Alright, thanks for the heads up!

Nimble's room will be getting redone as well, but we'll probably be leaving the rest of that deck bare, apart from the barricades that are already up there.

We should also be fleshing out the Shevchenko a bit, but we don't want to make it so exciting that it distracts people from the Skadovsk.

Great to heard there will be new quests from existing characters. Honestly, lots of Stalker fans talk about certain characters, but even with my love of STALKER I've never really been able to remember or recognise characters outside of the main few. Maybe it's because the visual models are so similar, and the characters names aren't very prominent often in dialogue screen.

Is Cardan actually in the side room now or does he still sit there blocking the doorway. Also is Owl's backroom accessible, How about making it Rob-able like Freedoms stores in the Warehouses? Maybe you could create a situation where if you do certain things right Owl goes away briefly giving you a one-off window of opportunity to get in there and get something for someone while helping yourself to a few bonus items. Maybe you could have several steel cases back there and due to there weight and time constraints you can only choose one which you need to take to Nitro? to open, (Cardan would grass you up) Do you get lucky or do you get a box full of Owl's worthless junk for all your hard work.

Cardan sits in the side room now - you can just see the edge of his chair through the doorway. Owl's backroom isn't currently accessible (it looks like there's another door in from the outside, but on the inside it's just plain wall). I do like that idea, though. I shall add it to the list.

I did look at adding a new room there, but because of the way the ship is modelled, it'd be more work than I think it's worth.
