The envisionment of TK is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of the gutted retail release we were left with. TK aims to cover every aspect imaginable from gameplay intended to genuinely scare the player, to texture replacements / enhancements for the absolute best visual experience, cut mutants, absolute realism, optimisations, stability, and a complete game mechanics overhaul - all without breaking the story. I want to deliver a mod which anyone who plays it will have their breath literally taken away by its sheer quality, attention to detail, and being the only mod players may well have to keep a spare pair of pants handy!
Title says it all, particle driven true dynamic fog. Looks a lot better in-game video quality isn't the best.
Particle? or Shader? Because dynamic particles is the LAST thing you want in SHoC, trust me, im a Particle nerd.
Oh and, dang Ket, you made Yantar look really nice! Love the containers and the fencing. Awesomely done man :)
Particles, their only problematic if you use too many of them in a single particle effect, apart from that the only other drawback is performance, but TK is meant to take X-Ray to the bleeding edge and my PC is overclocked to the hilt, so its not a problem for me :p FPS is still decent as well, in that test minimum FPS was 50, with it going as high as 150 in the bunker :D
Do mind other people. I had the same with ppx, next gen pc's could handle it with 60+ FPS... but you cut away a whole piece of fanbase with this decision, the ones with the less strong hardware etc.
