The envisionment of TK is to bring you what was promised by GSC for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, instead of the gutted retail release we were left with. TK aims to cover every aspect imaginable from gameplay intended to genuinely scare the player, to texture replacements / enhancements for the absolute best visual experience, cut mutants, absolute realism, optimisations, stability, and a complete game mechanics overhaul - all without breaking the story. I want to deliver a mod which anyone who plays it will have their breath literally taken away by its sheer quality, attention to detail, and being the only mod players may well have to keep a spare pair of pants handy!

Great description "horrible splodgy mess", now this is massive improvement, again it will balance out the game, as people improve many texture details of the game it has the unfortunate knock on effect of highlighting the untouched vanilla textures (splodgy mess's). I suppose you could spend years addressing all those though.

I think I've got all the horrid textures now ;) Theres just one texture I'm trying to figure out I thought it was a ground texture (it should be) but it doesn't seem to be so I'm not sure where the hell the engine is pulling the texture from as in some cases X-Ray even has the horrid habit of using just a small chunk of a texture thats also used for something else - yet another reason why it doesn't make any sense that the vanilla textures were all so low res and crappy.
