This is a STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl Total Conversion mod. The goal is to create a world as rich as the lore of Warhammer 40,000, complete with original story line, authentic weapons, and remaking of the general gameplay, although the engine will remain intact... because, admit it, x-ray is just an awesome game engine.

None taken! But please, if you are going to leave some criticism, please be a bit more specific. If you tell me exactly what you think is wrong, it will be easier for me to correct the issue... And yes, the chest does suck chode. It looked good right up until I applied the boolean modifier to it, then all of the polys went haywire. I'm currently looking through the old files to try and get an idea of how I should go about remaking it. As for the helmet, please remember that the chapter that this mod focuses on, the Timbre Wolves, has been lost to the warp since just after the horus heresy. I made the model after some illustrations of the heresy era Space Marines, back when they had the bucket helms and such. But knowing that, what do you think is wrong with it?

Well the resperator on the helmet is too little, compared to normal one... well i wont talk too much, but helmet is completly different from normal one. If you're using mark 5 heresy armors, you should see these: Wh40k.lexicanum.com Wh40k.lexicanum.com those are real heresy armors. I hopeyou understand why i meant that helmetand chest look wrong.

Well, thank you for the suggestions! You're right, the respirator is a bit small. Never thought about it too much before tbh. But for the look, I was going for that bucket helm look like that in the Art of Warhammer 40,000 book. Tomorrow I'll see if I can find the page I used for reference... And I'm sorry about the chest plate being totally fubar... but that is fixed now, as well as the waist. Sometimes Max can be finicky about how it moves vertices when combining objects... But as for the detail, that will be added later by way of bump-mapping. STALKER really finds its happy place when there are roughly 3-5000 triangles on the model, not 20mil like I had on my previous model. Trust me when I say it is REALLY hard to keep the triangle count down... well, for a beginner anyways. I do get what you're saying though, and I appreciate the feedback. You're doing a lot more than most other folks 'round here...

Er, sorry... I kinda rambled off there... The point of the story is thus: Respirator will be fixed... Chestplate has been fixed and all the belts and coolness will be added by way of bumb-mapping.

Description

So this is what I got of the redone space marine armor. This time, I don't have 20 million polys on the entire model, I only have roughly 15k at the moment... so things are going well, I think. Although, I have to say, those friggin' arms suck up most of the polys. I am hoping to change this in the near future. Oh, and sorry if you're like "Why did you post five friggin different angles? I can see what it looks from the first!" I was kinda having fun with the various lights and light effects when I made these renders.

...And yes, I DO know that the parts are kind of disembodied at the moment, and that the head IS floating. I'm working on making a neck that doesn't look like I just slapped a cylinder in there and said "merry christmas." I take pride in my work, and I don't want to do anything half assed.
