This mod is the current version of the original Oblivion Lost series, developed by Kanyhalos & OLP Team. The purpose of this mod is to get closer to the old Oblivion Lost which was planned by GSC back in the days, and give the best immersion possible, while implementing the best mod features: Total Freeplay, Improved A-Life, New Levels, Extended Main Storyline and Reality Enhancement. This mod works properly only with 1.0005 patch and it was tested only with that patch! You need to start a new game with no additional mods installed! Savegames from earlier mod versions are not compatible!
Nevermind the previous measurement. My performance is awful. 100% CPU usage, 3,3GB RAM usage, 1GB VRAM usage, 100% GPU usage. 12 fps. LOL :O
Don't forget that this performance is greatly affected by my Anti-Aliasing settings as well. I set it to smooth aliases even on the tree leaves and everything (like "Alpha to coverage" in Far Cry 3-4 games).
So the currently presumed system requirements are:
OS: Windows 7 x64 or better + memory address patched xr3da.exe
CPU: Dual Core 3,0Ghz or better (preferred to be a Core i3 or i5 I guess)
RAM: 4GB, but might be better a bit with 6GB
VGA: 1GB VRAM or more, and at least 850-900Mhz core clock speed
Hi,
Have you tried forcing anti-aliasing through the Nvidia control panel but turning it off in-game? I've found this improves FPS for all the Stalker games.
Thanks. Yes, the ingame AA is turned off. Nothing helps. I will get my new rig soon.
I realized that the worst fps is in Red Forest, due to the AA for tree leaves. Surprisingly I experienced one of the most disturbing stuttering in Dead City. It's small level and not too populated, so I dunno why. The Swamp stuttering is obvious.
Strangest thing is that Army Warehouses isn't stuttering...
Jut curious, what's the specs of the rig you're getting?
I'll upgrade my rig on saturday to the following specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3 3250, 3.5Ghz, Ivy Bridge, 2 cores, 4 threads (hyperthreading)
RAM: Kingston 8GB, 1333Mhz
VGA: Gigabyte GTX 750ti OC 2GB, GDDR5, 1059Mhz GPU speed
Ah now this is a much more conclusive test. Well done! And thanks for listening to me.
There could be other factors also affecting your performance such as bloatware / services running in the background of windows among many other things.
In one of my recent tests I saw that an SSD does wonders for xray. Due to how it loads assets.
Thank you for your hints. I'll might buy a small SSD just to have a few games on it.
Could be an idea. Yesterday I realized my system is now 5 years old. That's a long time for not upgrading to something new. Granted it's all still keeping up and running most new games on at least high settings.
What will you be upgrading to?
I just posted the specs above.
Why limit to 1333mhz memory? 1600 and even later 1866 memory is getting cheaper, and around here it is a lot cheaper than 1333.
Because my mobo is limited to 1333
Ordered an SSD for €40.
