MAJOR NOTIONS on GEAR & EQUIPMENT

• 
Massive tweak of new ways to use items found ingame
. Some items can be sharpened now (shovels, swiss army knife, cutlery, grooming kit)

- Mutants can be looted only with use of sharp objects: knives, sharpened items or "Hunting Kit"


• Added quick-sharpening, with added possibility to use two separate one-usage-left sharpening stones to sharpen a shovel (shovels need two stones usages)

• Food cans have to be opened with a sharp object (knives, sharpened items, etc)

• The secret purposes of nearly every item you thought for immersion only will become readily apparent.

• Hints describe the purposes of items.

• Everyday items can now be sharpened and used to assist in getting more out of every item you find.

• A specialized Hunters Kit can be used to get the maximum amount of loot from Mutants. Yes, it’s now a viable source of income.

• Other makeshift items can also be used when sharpened and degrade with use.

• You can now salvage (with the appropriate tools) useable items from broken radios, Geiger counters, etc. reducing the weight of your loot and freeing up resources while in the field or camp.

• The more suitable a tool is for use the greater the benefit earned when salvaging items.

• Specialized salvage toolkits enable maximum recovery just like the Hunters Kit.

Okay, so I have been enjoying this mod for some time now.
I decided to go investigate Stingray 2, the iron forest anomaly.
When I got there I killed 6 Bloodsuckers and 1 controller.
Upon trying to kill the 2nd controller I was flanked by two more controllers...
So I understand that this mod is supposed to make things harder but come on. That is just overkill!
To my understanding there is still a poltergeist in there as well.
Has anyone encountered these 4 controllers and 6 Bloodsuckers?

Yea, for me it was 6 blood suckers, 3 controllers, and a poltergeist. I had fully customized m8 helmet, exosuit, fully customized cam aks 74u, and a l85a2 camo. 2 armor piercing shots to the head takes em out fast. I was a sniper class.

when i get there, some time i naked ,some time wear coat. Wear too heavy armor make me feel the game too easy

Just went through and managed to clear the area.
The other 2 controllers didn't show up. Thank God!

Love how random it is. Yet due to crashes from rogovets, i am stuck :P A warning advice to do many, many hard saves.

It would seem that tool location is unrelated to class. My brother and I are both playing MISERY, he is a sniper and I am recon. However, our tools appear to be in the same location. His theory is that there are about 3 different tool placement locations that vary between different people's games. I have no idea what determines the tool location set you get. Anyway, any input into my theory would be great.

There was a thread on this, tool locations are the same, i confirmed it with my sniper and my bro's assault. the pre patch version, just 2.0 and not 2.0.1, had different tool locations. But that has been changed.

i think i found a bug.. i don't have any detector, so i cannot use in anomaly, but my pad said: 11 artifact found in 6 hours in game... WTF? Misery go home, you're drunk, i can say...

Everybody has crashes, even the vanilla version had crashes, whingeing and bitching wont fix the problem but posting your error logs might help. If you have to post tell us where you found the great stashes.
Harden up its tough being a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Happy hunting, this i still the best stalker mod ever Great work dev Team keep up the Awesome work.

Not really. I finished the game with complete mod 1 year ago... not one crash. Not one!

My mistake wast to play from morning to evening like a zombie :| and did not enjoyed the game.

Survivor horror at it's finest, although slightly flawed. Once all the kinks are ironed out, this will be the definite Stalker: Call Of Pripyat mod.

With the intention of being realistic, it ends up feeling like its "overly" realistic, while some aspects make sense, others do not. The idea that a trained military sniper gets too tired to even move after WALKING about 100 yards, only carrying 10 pounds of equipment, seems silly to me. A normal person might get tired, but military personnel are trained to run for miles with much heavier equipment. The ai could still use work, their detection system is most certainly unrealistic and can be very…
