Hai Got 3 questions.
1. Is there any benefit from installing CoP on a SSD besides short loading screens?
Will it help stuttering near high populated areas like skadovsk, Yanov station or spawning mutants?

2. would windows 7 give a noticable better performance over a fully patched vista for the Stalkers?

3. Will there be another update on 2.0 before release with more in-depth new features?

Thanks, and really good work so far.

Installing a SSD does help with loading times and stuttering but when you do get near high populated areas it still will stutter some, its unavoidable because of the engine. Getting a SSD will benefit your whole system though and besides a GPU, it has been the best upgrade i have ever done.

I get the same stuttering in CoP with a 2500k, 8Gb RAM and a GTX580 as I did in SoC 6 years ago with a P4, 7600GS and 2Gb of RAM. I don't know how much (if at all) hardware will help that stuttering. It's just the engine being silly. :/

can the main caracter pass out if its needs are not satisfied? ive allways wondered about that in vanilla so one time ive left it on for a half day to see what hapens and nothing but that would be an intresting feature :D

Oh! and i allmost forgot: from party experience ive figured out that one can gain energy from strong alcoholic drinks but with a terible cost of corse :D maybe this could be implended in case of a terible hedace or tireness :D and -hair of the dog- drinking again on the other day to negade the side effect we have our alcoholic caracter xD of corse it can be cured with a terible day this way but still... :D

Actually thats true... ethanol is a carbohydrate. Its genuinely like eating a meal lol (except maybe not as healthy ;)

Maybe -1 hunger could be implemented into alcoholic drinks; that would be cool :)

Will stalkers have more diversified weaponry now? Like the weapons that you buy at certain places? (rpk, stetchkin, and others)

Just thought I'd drop in and say that v1.1 was, no sorry, is one of the best mods out there. Who would have thought the vanilla storyline could be so much fun again. I am very much looking forward to v2.0. :)

Hello N.Aaroe and the rest of the Misery Mod Team! I love the work that went into v1.1 of this mod. It was the BEST S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod I ever played, and I felt it truly captured the feel of what the game should be: a hardcore survival shooter. Now that I see all the A.I. work for v2, I am completely overjoyed. I couldn't want anything else in the mod...except one more thing. Would it be possible to have an option to make freeplay available from the get go? I've played through CoP several times, and would prefer to enjoy the work you guys have put into a dynamic game and exploring, more than playing through CoP again. Thanks a ton!

I don't know how the increasing difficulty of the AI works, whether it is based on player stats or progression through the storyline. If it's based on player stats then I imagine it would be fairly easy to make freeplay available. You could look at a completed saved game file and see what the arguments for a completed storyline look like, and then change that. This augmented save file could then be available as another small download for the mod. This way, the player would start at with equipment as if he had just begun the game, but would still be able to explore and fight progressively harder A.I.

Just had another thought: giving freeplay this way (through a saved game file), means that some decisions, such as giving information to either duty or freedom, have already been decided for the player. Additionally, some of the 'achievements' will already be unlocked.

Survivor horror at it's finest, although slightly flawed. Once all the kinks are ironed out, this will be the definite Stalker: Call Of Pripyat mod.

With the intention of being realistic, it ends up feeling like its "overly" realistic, while some aspects make sense, others do not. The idea that a trained military sniper gets too tired to even move after WALKING about 100 yards, only carrying 10 pounds of equipment, seems silly to me. A normal person might get tired, but military personnel are trained to run for miles with much heavier equipment. The ai could still use work, their detection system is most certainly unrealistic and can be very…
