This is optional, you can still start with all the specialist gear if you want. If you do start like this, i'm pretty sure you will still be able to find everything you will need, even the sniper. (In 1.1 i found a mosin nagant under a tree when playing assaulter.)

Slightly unrelated question, will the knife require repairs? In 1.1 it had a damage bar indicator, but it was always full.

No new unique npcs added (as far as i know), but you could always reserve a bullet for Tuna and his friends...

- Can you still pick up free food/meds in Skadovsk?
- Do the changes in NPC-AI allow you to loot bodies of a group while some of their comrades are still alive? Vulturing guns from groups who are fighting is an easy way to get a gun and money(perhaps too easy). It would be cool if they started shooting at you for trying to loot their fallen comrades.
- Are the stash locations still the same as in the previous installment of misery?

Regarding your points:

1 & 3. All stashes and 'loose items' are recreated from scratch in a way which has a good chance of suprising all of you (in positive way).

2. Yes - body and item looting by NPCs is one of essential features of updated AI. Please expect skirmishes and fights to be fought over dead bodies with valuable loot in them.

However neutral enemies NPCs will not become hostile cause of 'stealing of their loot' attempt (maybe in future) - so you can loot any body as long as you're fast enough (and there is noone hostile around wanting to do the same). Note thou that NPCs are very efficient with 'cleaning' of bodies from loot - so you're rarely find anything to take on body which you haven't 'produced' yourself a minute ago.

This is going to be so awesome, I am deffinitelly going to take up this challange. Have you moved around most of the secret stash locations from the original misery 1? If you havent, you should. I still remember some secrets. :P

Im looking forward to this this will be exactly how I imagine Stalker.
Also Im soooo glad you change whole economy. When I play 1.1 have to manualy triple upgrade prices and make 1/3 artifact selling prices, make slower movement nad use only not OP weapons to make it chalenging.
And I success I finnish game with 2700 RU :P

The updated MISERY 2.0 exe installer will provide you with a new option:
- Standard game start
- Alternate game start

The alternate game start (referred to as 'the Black Road') generates a more challenging setup which is now revealed here to some extend.

The differences that are displayed here are the only differences from your standard game start.
