Since it's an attachment just like like Kevlar plates you probably can wear multiple pelts, also those are NPC shots and it's mentioned that they won't work with the 3rd person models for the main character.

Yes - we tried to make skins variated as much as possible. For example you can expect all furry pelts to provide some degree of thermal insulation while fatty skin of flesh will increase your electrical resistance.

There are also down-sides added to almost every skin.

And perhaps have the pelts get special straits depending on the mutant it came from? I'd imagine a bloodsucker pelt (if there are some) would have camouflage properties, or chimera pelts.

Description

Now you are able to use mutant hides, pelts and skins as armor enhancements for your protection.

USS Assaulter class has the highest endurance attributes and should be chosen if you want to pursue high risk melee combat scenarios.
