I have a new personal favorite I combine with temporary use of some scientific suit for almost all purposes, the new Ghillie. There is a cadre of nostalgic players who just love the Sunrise. What is your favorite, and why? Included here is a chart of how the outfits are configured for 2.2. Dropbox.com Some attachment module quantities have been tweaked to match the developers vision of how these outfits fit into tiers. You can also see how they now stack up in the camouflage system which will make you rethink some old choices. |

The new fully upgraded Ghillie is a beast: Dropbox.com. You still can't scrap with mutants or take a lot of shots without it rapidly degrading, but if you are properly stealthy you can avoid most of that. Chances of a stray first head shot taking you out are greatly diminished and it has way better heat and psy resistance. I'm not going down into the lab in Pripyat in it, but brief Psy exposure won't just flat kill you |

Depending on the class, it's either SEVA (Recon), PSZ-9D for Assaulter, or Wind of Freedom+Hi-tech Helmet (or Envoirmental Headgear)/Ghille for Sniper. I've voted for PSZ-9D, though. |

For Recon my fave is Sunrise + Sphere 08 (both upgraded aiming for stamina, psy resistance, lightness and max carrying weight) because of versatility, daytime camo and lightness. Red or Green SSP suits I employ whenever I need to approach high rad/psy areas or acid/fire anomalies. SEVA feels better/stronger overall, except for low daylight camo, but only use it for the Pripyat underground part. |

Sunrise is quite good if you are in doubt what kind of thing you expect out there. It is not perfect for either of tasks, but yet provide decent amount of everything. Camouflage value is something you will start to appreciate once 2.2. comes out. -- |

My fav is wind of freedom, because it is light (5.25 with upgrade for weight reduction) , it looks good (camouflage) and it provides enough protection for my everyday trips. Usually i do not upgrade my suits, I just lower their weight. As helmet i take a cloth mask (most of the time), a m40 steel helmet or Joker's gas mask. I would love to equip a cloth mask with night vision ^^ but it is not possible atm. Edit: I altered the files so that my cloth mask weights 1.5kg now and has a 1 Gen night vision If you had asked my fav armour of soc i would have said monolith suit with integrated night vision, sadly there is non in misery. I also loved the merc suit, sadly there is non in misery...... Edited by: CAMPERIIIII |

:D I wear the Sunrise + Sphere 08 all the way to the endgame. |

CS-3A and a Sphere 08 God bless clear sky. |

PSZ9 is really strong and heavy armoured, but SEVA is overall the best, I think, for balanced armour and anomalies protection. Ghillie is super but not as "always-on" suite, imho, even if I'm a sniper for all my life. |

Yeah I tend to favour the clearsky suit as well. Farming cash can be dangerous and grinding for an exo is likely to get you killed. Clearsky suit is something you can buy with the cash you get from regular gameplay early on, and it's perfectly usable all the way to the end. |

For every S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, with every mod, I'm always drawn towards the exoskeleton in the end. No matter how much my game sense tells me "Dude, that hunk of metal isn't practical – you're going to want to sprint out of danger!", I always go for it, preferably with a (light) machine gun as my primary weapon. Something about feeling like a zone juggernaut has always intrigued me. I love the class-based system in Misery because it actually gives me a tangible reason to wear different kinds of suits now (that is, when I eventually get to playing as Rogue or Sniper). |

It sure is painful without it. I used to go crazy in the older games until I could get it upgraded, or I hacked it. It's been a few years I've got CRS (Can't Remember Stuff) now LOL. |

For the first time I bought the Bulat and... it's wonderful! Full upgraded is very resistant to bullets and granades and it's quite unlikely that it's damaged by mutants. About anomalies it's a good compromise, better than the Sunrise. More, it allows you to transport quite a good amount of stuff (maximum weight capacity), even if it weights quite a lot itself. On the other hand it has maximum 2 artifacts/modules containers. Overall I like it very much, it really makes you feel protected during firefights and mutant attacks (you must have a decent helmet too, obviously). After upgrading it: Edited by: SilverBlack78 |

SEVA or the sunrise suit, from the cheaper suits its probably the overcoat |

Ok, after the Bulat, if you can afford the Exo it's the best combact-suite ever: it has proper anomaly protection and can be upgraded to be even more resistant, its armor is the best in the Zone and it's very very hard against scratches, unbeatable against mutants bites and granades debries. It's durability is great (it' not get damaged easily) and, even more important, the stamina is high, better then Seva and other scientific suites. Fully upgraded (recommended the one that makes you able to sprint!) it's another 100,000 ru so in total about 320,000 ru to have an exo fully functional. But more, it must be used with a proper helmet and the best one is the Sphere M12, best armor in the Zone and great psy and radio protection. So another 60,000 ru, in total 380,000 ru to have the best protection ever possible in the Zone. Here is me talking to Beard about the fact that Noah is so dumb to get killed ages ago and he took the compass 6 feet under with him. |

Exo IS the best in terms of pure combat effectiveness. SEVA is still better for exploring anomalous fields. And chimera still oneshots you. NPCs wearing Sunrise suits seem to not care after getting a claw to the face. |

Are you kidding? Obviously the exoskeleton is the best suit for general purpose. The exoskeleton makes you practically invincible. Bloodsuckers tickle you, bullets bounce off, and unless you happen to step on a live grenade, nothing can deal significant damage in a single hit. If you stack steel plates, it gets even more ridiculous; you can start to jump off 10 story buildings and be fine when landing. All of this assuming you bought the Mk12 Sphere helmet, which is good enough to resist pretty much everything except an AP bullet to the eye socket. If that's not enough, then consider the fact that the exoskeleton increases your carry weight and can be upgraded to suit pretty much any of your needs. The only thing you won't be doing is walking into anomalies, as this is not the exoskeleton's purpose, but there's nothing stopping you from simply carrying a spare science suit WITH you, thanks to the increased carry weight. Simply drop the exoskeleton onto the ground and come back to put it on again when you're done artifact spelunking. |

Playing with exo isn't my type of game plan. |

For me wearing an Exo fully upgraded and a M12 helmet is quite satisfying. Try not to save if not in safe shelter (that are the ones that protects you from emissins, that are covered indoor places with a door that you must open to enter). If you go across the Zone with this semi-ironmand mode it's very satisfying and quite challenging. I have other self-limitations during my gameplay that makes my game even more difficult, but I do not want to limit myself not using some available outfit that is there for me!
