I enjoy this mod, but most enemies will kill you if you are not carefull and spot them first. That's fine but we always have to hurry because of hunger and huge food prices, especially at the beginning of the game. I believe that slowing time would make it more fair and interesting because I would have the time to actually e careful when travelling the zone, coming up with plans and such.

3 questions:

1- How can I mod my game so that the day(24hrs) is twice as long?

2- Making the day twice as long will make hunger and radiation, natural healing effcts more slow too?

3- Will I have to start a new game to apply the new time scale?

I can't tell you what will be effected, but change the time factor in alife.ltx from 10 to 5 and your day will go half as fast. While you are in there make sure to change objects_per_update from 10 to 1 to help reduce stuttering. Highest switch_distance your rig can manage without FPS drop in each map will give you fewest stutters.

Strange, I tested with 600 switch distance and 1 obj but it stuttered like crazy... I'll try new settings. I've changed Time factor but it didn't seem to change much...

I didn't think it would have much effect. Check your main Stalker Call of Pripyat directory and make sure there isn't a bogus copy of user.ltx in there. I don't know exactly what triggers it's mysterious appearance, but it seems to cause massive stuttering too.

There is only one user.ltx there, but now with 500 Switch distance things are more smooth there is still some stutter here and there but lasts 0.5-1 second.
Also, is there an atmosfear menu hotkey in misery?

You mean for weather? No. If you have an _appdata_ directory that's the only place there should be an user.ltx file. Some versions of the game, the disc version vs. steam only have the one user.ltx The objects_per_update at 1 seems to shorten the stutters, higher switch_distance = less often.
