Greetings Stalkers, I found these two videos of Pripyat, it seems some of the angles are the same but taken in a different time of the year. I must say I was astonished how real MISERY's Pripyat looks, pretty impresive. And I remember from SoC and also I think call of duty modern warfare where you also play a sniper mission in Pripyat. It made me think about MISERY in Winter, watching for Mutant tracks in the snow, ambushing enemies by aiming at the foggy breath..moving very slow in fresh snow while a chimera leaps closer. more often then not finding Stalkers and even mutants seeking shelter inside which can make the entry of a building a pleasent or horrible surprise..desperatly trying to cover in all directions because you're sure you heard those psy-dogs howling...and only their blood covered fangs stand out from the white snow.. I've seen those and similar videos and photos and agree it is amazing you feel like you have been there from playing the game. Just setting Stalker 3 in Winter would add a whole slew of very interesting new possibilities; I hope GSC is watching... |

Correct. It will not be possible for modder to make such massive change based on such limited engine. A game like Skyrim from The elder scroll may have enough capability to handle such things. We need an brand new game focus more on real time survival, mixture of faction war and horror FPS, now that's a game. |

That's a cool video. And I know what you mean jasper. I was watching the video Alone in the Zone and there were a number of parts where I was just like "oh I know where you are". It's pretty neat to feel like you sorta know a spot without ever being anywhere near it IRL. |

I wanted to visit the area since a long time. There are actually guided tours ect I just imagine that its a bit expensive and also Im not sure how far away it is from the current fighting... personally I think the radiation is not too bad if you just stay a short time and dont eat any uncooked mutant meat if anyone has any other videos preferably full length Documentarys from respected sources I am very interested Edited by: Keksfront -- Bonesetter - You look a touch pale, how about a little injection or two? |
