Nimble Frustration Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

I have heard that what you receive is random. I have also heard that it is dependent on when you place the order. Does anyone know which is true? If I am going to shell out that much for a weapon, I want it to be what I am looking for.

What you can do is save it before you ask him for it, ask for it, sleep for 24hrs, and then check. If you don't get what you want, reload.

I have been trying this, but I just seem to get the same weapon over and over. That's why I was wondering if it may be determined by the time of day you order?

Why you not check it out and change the line?
sleep maybe first 18 hours than do what Odizzido prefered
But when you are lazy and want wait i will do it when i am back from pripyat

I have used the reload trick to get the weapon I've wanted before. I saved the game BEFORE I asked nimble to get the weapon though. Then sleep, then pick up. Unless it was changed recently it should still work that way.

I will give it another try when i get home

It seems you need to save before giving him the money for the order. If you give him order and save then wait or sleep you will get the same item over and over.

That's what I was doing. Save game, place order, wait pickup order. I got he SVU2-A 5 times in a row before I had to stop.

As soon as I started changing the time when I order, I started getting different guns.

afaik The only changes we have made nimble from vanilla are prices and the exo has been replaced with th ghillie

If you didn't already know the helmet isn't included with the CS3 armor, although it states you would get one, dunno is this intentional.

I bought the suit cause I would get a helmet with it, was very disappointed when it wasn't there.

The price of the cs3 is enough. Adding a 40k+ helmet with it would be financially folly for nimble.

Then they should change the description, although I believe it was confirmed to be a bug in another thread.

I personally do not find it much of an issue, better leave the helmet out and change the description. Come on 40k and the helmet is only temporary good for an assaulter anyway, a recon prefers the 10kg one and a sniper has a ghillie.

ghilie suit is crap vs damage, i play sniper and the only armour i ever use is the CS3 clear sky suit and the sphere helmet, cause random bullets are no fun or a random grenade launcher hitting your legs - i was wondering if they let me go thrugh underground with my cs 3 suit and a standalone helmet of from the seva suit? Or must it always be the full seva suit ?

Only you need to quip your seva suit. After arriving just equip the cs-3/freedom I do that ;P Depending on my class. Be carefull with fireball/eye artefacts as they do toxic -

I only use seva for anomalies.

yes, but i need to take lots of ammo and supplies along with two suits then, then i will have to get rid of a very expensive seva suit to pass the bunker, cuz otherwise i will be encumbered (is that the word?) by the weight...

A seva suit isn't that heavy about 16kg and you can store it in pripyat.

Actually, paying 85k for a C3 suit without a helmet really blows. You can get a cheaper military suit that has the same stats, or get a sunrise suit + sphere helmet for the same price & have better stats. Playing for hours and saving 85k to buy this deal only to find out you don't get a helmet b/c of a bug...that is soul crushing.

This bug that removes the helmet really kills any incentive to buy the C3 suit from Nimble.

They removed it with logic and... The helmet being worth 40k coming with an armour worth 90k for the cost of 80k made no sense, so that's why it was removed. The CS-3 suit is on all stats slightly better then the military suit, it has upgraded 3 slots instead of 2 and also a psy resistance upgrade, which adds 5-6 bars. also it has a better weight/carry ratio and only costs I think 10k more.

And Nimble still SAYS that you get a helmet. The fact that you don't get a helmet is a bug, one way or another - a bug that they didn't edit the text, or a bug that they accidentally removed the helmet.
The early 5m military suit costs around 65k ingame for me, whereas sunrise costs 40k, and sunrise + sphere helmet costs a total of around 80k. The issue I'm concerned with here is opportunity cost - the CS-3 is no longer a good deal because by the time you accumulate 85k required to get it, you can already move on to Yanov and get better suits there. There is no incentive to save up your money for the C3 suit anymore. Now, it's far better efficient to just get the cheaper suits first, then play with that until you get to Yanov and then get something better and skip the C3 entirely.

The C3 w/o the helmet has become the middle child of Misery armors - too expensive to do you any good early game, and by the time you accumulate money to get it, you've probably played enough to have access to better armor out there.
And I think the C3 suit is one of the ugliest suits in the game while the helmet is one of the coolest looking helmets... It really blows that the bug causes you to not have the helmet.

I find the CS-3 better then the Burlat suit, again cause it has 1 extra container. I wore it until I could get the exo suit so that was until pripyat. The helmet is just one you can buy from owl for 40k. The one you later can get in jupiter is better cause it has more resistance. More important the CS-3 has a superiour weight carry compared to other assaulter armour, besides the exo.

20k is peanuts I get like 30-70k per run in Zaton (mainly cause I sell skins/damaged weapons on the road to stalkers). So I can operate long in the field. I never bother taking worn weapons with me and also things like hammers that weigh a lot but are worth crap. I even sell low end artefacts to stalkers that generally are worth below 3k. Most money you get from medicine/ random valuables and high end fags.
