Never had an emission? | Locked | |

I started a new game in Misery 2.2 and I noticed something strange. I have never had an emission despite already being pretty far along in Zaton, having done the bloodsucker lair mission and investigated all stingrays (in Zaton). The only thing I did differently this time was I started via the black road. Has anyone had this happen before or is it simply luck? |

Well I’ve been on the standard mode several times. In each playthrough the emission hits me on the very first date every time ... |

If you are not having an emission once every 24-48 hours, you either did not install correctly or are using edited/addon files. |

Also, when you say 24-48 hours, do you mean 24-48 hours of real time playing (meaning time in the real world), 24-48 hours of game time, or 24-48 hours game sleep time? |

Game time. If your save is from poorly installed mod or mod with changes made to it, the save is probably broken. You can't use saves from other classes, or earlier versions of the game. |

If you want to "force" a blowout, go to sleep for 24 hours. Normally after three times top an emission occurs. By this method you can easily conclude the emission rythm in your game. |

misterkat 90% of problems with 2.2 are from people not explicitly following the directions to install, as if they are magically exempt and can skip a step The smallest of changes can require a new game, so after editing or adding a custom file, a new game will very often be required. If your installation was faulty, for any number of reasons like thinking you could use a zip utility other than the directed one, your saves will be based upon different files and a new game may be required. Also, as RushB noted, sleep time counts towards the occurrence of the next emission. You can alter the min/max time period too, I don't recall the file to edit of the top of my head. |
