Hey Guys its been a while since I posted and figured I posted my specs and results Misery 2.2 and Call of Misery!(Soon but mostly 60fps on max settings)

Motherboard: ASUS Gaming Pro

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600@ 3.6 Stock Cooler

GPU: RX 580 8G/No OC Stock Cooler

RAM: G. Skill Ripjawz V Series 16G@ 3200

Memory: Kingston SSD

OS: Win 10 Latest build

@4k with MAX settings (NO AA) WITH RADEON CHILL FPS: (Additionally AF and vsync is overrided in my GPU settings as x16/enhanced sync respectively) 55FOV

MAX FPS: 60+ (I have this locked @60fps due to the main menu getting 10000+fps and making my GPU whine)

Average: 43 (Clear Weather) 31 (Storms) 56 (Fog)

Low: 32

1% Low: 29

Utilization/Power/Temps:

-GPU Usage:

Max: 100%

Average: 33%

Low: 0-1%

-GPU Temp: (CURRENT AMBIENT TEMP 50C)

Max: 47C (Clear) 65C (Storm Chill usually off) 43C (Fog)

Average: 43C

Low: 39C

-CPU Utilization: (I HAVE TESTED THIS RUNNING WITH ALL CORES/THREADS AND WITH 1 CORE AND NO THREADS, THIS DIFFERENCE IS 2 FPS)

Max: 11% (1 core no threads and all cores/threads)

Average: 11%

Low: 9%

-Memory Usage:

VRAM: 2G

RAM: 5.8G

POWER!!!:

GPU: 143W(Below 30FPS Chill Off) 66W(Above 30 FPS Chill On)

Well I hope this helps or entertains!

Notes: Will update this periodically if requested.

Wishes: I wish the Xray engine could utilize modern hardware. I wish the Misery Mod team could get the license to make more stalker games.

To Devs: I think the lighter not being available in the beginning is kind of silly. Additionally I think we should be able to fires for things in different ways. Ex. using the gunpowder out of a bullet (Extracting it with tools first) and lighting it with flint. You might say, 'That's ridiculous' in which I respond, 'W can disassemble military grade IEDs with a hand mallet...'

PS: Thank you to the Misery Team for making such a great mod!

Funny note: Speaking of disassembling IEDs the first time I tried it blew up in my face...

It Took my headgear, it Took my Armor, but you know what it Gave me?Ohhh no no no, not Death my friend; it Gave me Shame...

Ambient temp is what? No computer will survive gaming at anywhere near that ambient temp ;)

If trying core affinity, it should be with only one thread (the first - zero) disabled. Never only one thread running.

Without core affinity, if your core/thread zero is not running at or near 100%, you are not playing MISERY or COP LOL. Overall CPU usage (average) should go up when using all but one thread at high priority. You won't see higher FPS or barely measurable, but possibly smoother steadier FPS rates. The reason your overall CPU usage is lower, is core/thread zero are doing almost all the work and the rest are sitting on the bench chewing sunflower seeds.

Stock cooler on an unlocked CPU ... makes me cry ;) Just kidding, sort of, overclocking isn't for everyone. Stock paste is for nobody though IMHO. You can't beat the cooling improvements of a great paste like Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. Even with a lousy loud stock cooler, it would drop your CPU temps around 10C and as a byproduct reduce the overall noise level of your rig. This makes it more likely you will hear something sneaking up on you ;) It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. It is the best and most effective non-conductive paste on the market. Even for someone who never overclocks, if you can assemble a motherboard/CPU combo, you can apply aftermarket paste. Your rig will run cooler, last longer, be quieter, and throttle less. Running cooler means you need to pull less air through your rig, and so less dust accumulates too.

Sorry Mistype was late. 50F Not 50C

Retesting this Thanks!

Ryzen 5 1600 stock is 3.2Ghz... this is overclocked. The stock cooler on the Ryzen 5 1600 put many market CPU coolers to shame. I can OC the CPU to 4Ghz@1.25v easily and only increase my temp by 5C. The reason I keep it at 3.6 is the fact that the actual increase in performance is only 1-5 frames, not worth the temp increase.

I use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. No point to try and decrease my CPU temp when it barely gets to 50C IMO. Also I have a fractal design case that is layered in sound proofing materials with all be quiet! fans. You cant even hear my PC even under stress test.

This makes it more likely you will hear something sneaking up on you ;)

I wear headphones when gaming :P Currently using Hyper X Cloud II. Its Meh, overrated.

My case is fitted with magnetic dust filters, not dust for me.

@Japser34

I retested using Lasso and even with one core enabled the game is only using 11-12% always. Not sure why... if you can help my use all of one core process please do! I want more FPS XD

NEW UPDATE: OK so Radeons new software recording id VERY Inaccurate. Using MSI Afterburner, I could see the difference when using one core vs all. Using all of them netted me about 10FPS and a smoother play. (Additionally when I increase Alife to 400 stuttering goes away completely for me, don't know why.) Additionally My temps were different. My CPU stayed at 25C and my GPU between 40C-60C.

GAH Ill have to reupdate this using MSI or just make a video haha. Thnaks for your insight in the CPU usage Jasper.

Just to reiterate, for MISERY/COP you want to use 11 of your 12 threads not ONE, and at high priority. If you use a utility which shows your 12 threads individual usage before and after, you will note the overall increase in how much of each core is working, and that core zero is no longer being constantly maxed out.

Higher alife settings do reduce stutter, but cause more deaths of story NPC's or make them more likely earlier in the story, mainly Noah.
