Hi folks!

I have a "small", äh no, better two "small" problems at Jupiter. I want to get the tool from there, but there are two "small" Alienchimeras, bulletproof and no chance to kill them with 3(!) IDE`S, 145 Rounds cal. 12 shootgun and 236 rounds 5,56 AP rounds, is that normal??????????????????????ConfusedConfusedConfused
Someone an idea????????????

Some F1s, good tactics and a shotguns can take you far. I usually just run right to most mutants after a couple nades' and then put a full mag of 5.45 into the head and a tube of buckshot into the asshole.

Two of them is problematic though, I would suggest buying gas cans and IEDs and an RPG-7, if you do not hae the funds to do this you have to train to fight them, I took a chimera with the overcoat and a 1911.

use high calibre ammo. .45 Hydro is relatively cheap and strong. AP ammo is not the best vs Mutants, read the description of the ammo "tissue damage" is what you need. so the normal 5.56 works actually better.

If you are talking about the Jupiter plant, either set up a bunch of ieds in front of and inside the small tunnel behind the truck where you get out after going trough the factory. then fire some shots at them so they attack you then run trough the tunnel and brace yourself.

If you can and the other mutants allow it sprint trough on the left side and either get on the metal pipes (radioactive, above the strelok stash) or even further inside the house where you also have to pick up some documents.

chimeras jump around a lot and they have a hard time catching you in a building.

in the plain open you at least need a underbarrel granade launcher and plain view. when it starts running at you dont shoot with your gun, wait untill it is close enough and hit it with a granade. important is that you evade far enough and before it actually leaps (it stops shorty before jumping)

when it jumps past you empty your magazine or hit it with another granade. I think handgranades are only usefully for the "kill the wounded chimera" quest in zaton

Bonesetter - You look a touch pale, how about a little injection or two?

MaxHealthValue = 550
explosion_immunity = 0.05
fire_wound_immunity = 0.03
skin_armor = 0.54
hit_fraction_monster = 0.66

; Chimera Damage
default = 0.75, -1, 0.6
hip = 1, -1, 0.25
spine = 0.75, -1, 0.1
spine_1 = 0.75, -1, 0.1
neck_r = 0.95, -1, 2.1
head_boss = 1.65, -1, 0.9

Well, bullets are pretty crappy against them, 3% of damage of the weapon is really poor.. and they have good movility, a pseudogiant is weaker on resistance than a chimera, and counting that moves like a snail, that and the money than you can profit from a chimera doesn't really worth it and it's unbalanced due to the double respawn, it should be one by itself, like the large predator she is.

I think fire_wound_immunity just says that any damage below a certain threshhold will not by applied(or possibly a flat damage reduction?). So 9x18 pistols would be a bad choice.

And the skin armour doesn't seem like it's super high. Regular 5.56x45 ammo has a higher peirce value(0.68), though 7.92x57 is lower than 0.54 so AP ammo with that type might help.

Unless of course the pierce values are not additive, then maybe AP ammo would help with both.

No mate, k_ap = 0.22 is the Armor Piercing value on a standart 5.56x45, the k_pierce value is on objects not Armors, and the immunity is 1.0=100% damage taken, 0.5=50% damage taken, 2.0=200% damage taken, and in the chimera is 0.03=0.03%. Kinda overpowered since it has an armor also, and a nice load of Health and they come in a pack of two, so go on with explosives, don't waste bullets.

ahh yeah mixed up the two ammo variables

Anyways I did not know that the immunity worked that way. That's good info to have.

Hi folks!
I made it!!!!!!!!!!! THX for your tips! I sneaked in thru the backdoor up in the first floor with these electroanomalies and they followed me. Three handgranates and M209 did the rest.
