If you have any hints, or tips for 2.0 share them here. But please dont spoil anything without a warning.

The Kolobok artifact does not spawn on top of the Oakpine anomaly anymore, so dont bother going up there.

If you go from the dredge station to the boiler anomaly, there should be a Mama's Beads artifact by the water about halfway there. just keep your detector up and you should find it. I dont know if that was just coincidence or not, but i found one there.

Dont deliver Morgan's PDA to the duty commander, i think it is bugged. I reacieved the "Friend of Duty" achievement against my will by doing so.

To get the "A wealthy fksjasdif" achievement you now need 200000 rubles instead of 100000.

I have not uncovered anything useful, except this, to share yet.

I hope i helped someone with this.

basic tools are in ranger station
fine tools are in iron forest
calibration tools are in waste processing station.

Good luck getting them though as you'll be in quite the surprise if you think you can just stroll in there and grab em

There is a way to stroll through there: If you have a grenade for your GP-25, or a hand grenade in your inventory, you can carefully sneak up to the bandits at the ranger station (as well as the mercs at the waste processing plant) and set off an explosion at the far end of the building. Take a few steps back, watch the AI surround the source of the explosion looking for you, walk into the building without them noticing and voila! :)

There's also a great way to exploit the AI that has persisted in every iteration of STALKER and its mods. The AI has a diehard affinity for slowly strafing while aiming their weapon. If you quickload directly outside a building where enemies are, they instantly become aware of you (probably has something to do with the way the actor is spawned into the game). So if you combine the two by quickloading outside of a building they're hunkered down in and then proceed to walk around to the back of it or otherwise out of their line of sight, you can see the AI casually strafe out of the doorway with their rifles up and their backs turned to you like a bunch of idiots. This usually gives me the time I need to empty a few rounds into their backs before they have a chance to return fire. This was especially useful for me when trying to get the documents from the waste processing plant in vanilla CoP.

Anybody know if Snag's AK74s AKS-74u is still in the game? The quest that normally provides it as a reward no longer does.

Does anyone know how to cook meat? I found a cooking kit at the beginning of my play through, but I don't know how to use it.

Then what is the point of hunting?

i encountered:
-ironforest 1 controler, 2-4 bloodsuckers and a poltergeist
-ranger station a squad of bandits, they seem to spawn there
-waste processing heavily armed mercs, they noticed me from the other side of the area at night and shot me on sight

The pelts sell for a decent price. If you're a sniper, you're resistant to raw meat, so it can be a food source if you're desperate enough or have medication on hand in case it gets you sick. I usually just sell the meat as well. You also get scientific specimens from mutants that you kill which scale in price according to their rarity.

But yeah, the fact that cooking is missing is really....well, it's a bummer. Especially when it's a promised feature right on the feature list.

Ranger and waste processing are easy enough because it was against humans, shot to the head with AP and they usually go down with 1 shot. Ironforest I had 3 burers, 2 snorks, and zombies (but those are not threats in comparison ).

I did a blackroad playthrough and found calibration tools in the attick of the sawmill house where you start out, on the outside room were you can slowly crawl out to look.

I can comfirm zirsor's claim. It is in the attic of the house by the sawmill.

I went in there & looked around & on the table or near it but noting for me, maybe it is a bug for some of us ? no tools.

Aug 2 2013 Anchor

i am confused, didnt find them there either. i found the basic tools at the ranger station though

Aug 2 2013 Anchor

Is it possible that tool locations are varied depending on USS class?

I'm playing as Assaulter. What class are you playing as ZirzoR?

Aug 2 2013 Anchor

I am a sniper class

Aug 2 2013 Anchor

with hungry merc camp i meant the substation workshop, there are some hungry mercs there. if you give them food they let you through and in vanilla cop there was a basic toolkit there. the ranger station is in the southeast corner of zaton. how can you get lost really just open your pda and hover your mouse over the areas.
