Class Bug Glitch Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

When I installed the mod I picked USS sniper as well as when i started game. on my USS identification card it says im an assaulter and i have assaulter stats, but my name has USS sniper under it. is there any way I can fix this without making a new save?

Other than switching your class in menu and starting a new game, no, but you can change your class and simply play with assaulter's gear.

Going to be honest...All the classes play pretty much the same 'don't get shot, aim well, good luck'.

I personally use an AR and sniper for my assaulter, and similar stuff with my Sniper/recon.

Just make a new save.

Are your weapon abilities correct? Do you have high on sniper rifles and shotguns? Was your installation of Misery over a clean (zero remnants of other mods) Call of Pripyat install patched, if needed, to 1.6.02? Did you start and save the original game once before installing the all-in-one or FULL version of 2.1.1 as administrator?

Today I did a fresh install of Misery 2.1.1 and selected sniper during installation. Spawned at ranger station with Stg-44 like assault so i just re-selected class and started a new game. I even had the sniper menu texture (rails and trees).

After reselecting class was everything correct? Again, was it a virgin install of COP? It requires uninstall of mod, uninstall of game, deleting folders, then fresh installation.

Everything worked ok after reselecting and yes it was a full virgin install.

Good. I have installed hundreds of times all but a handful as Sniper and never seen that happen myself. If someone forgets to use admin privileges to install mod, funny things can happen without adequate permissions sometimes. Not saying that was the case, but it's a factor to consider. Even not uninstalling the mod before uninstalling the game during a fresh install can leave traces that screw things up somehow.

Today i did another fresh install (my fetish obviously) of misery after testing CoC and everything worked fine. Strange.
