First: you should edit your post to remove any locations. The MDT really doesn't like any sort of spoilers here.

Secondly, to answer your question: Yes. Only one of Alun's stashes will spawn at a time. The next one won't spawn before you cleared out the previous one.

To answer your question, PerXX is correct, you have to find the first on your own and totally clear each one before the next will spawn. Any other old stashes you find with just a congratulations stalker note are leftovers. If you don't find a reward and another riddle in them they are not Alun's Stashes.

Ok, I am going to have to restart from the beginning again, as I sold most of them straight out as I was used to just finding them in the usual places and didn't bother to read the riddle. Going to look into this more. And yeah, I might need to contact you about some of them, cheers!

As long as you cleared the stash you found them in, the next one will spawn. Just PM me.

You should make a submod, where players would buy hints from Owl, rather than you sharing hints via PM's

Less easy to do than you might think People who really want to cheat vs. just get a vague hint will do so regardless. Doubtless some inconsiderate person streamed it the first day of release or posted spoilers somewhere. I have much more control here, so am policing things myself to enable as much enjoyment for the new stuff as possible.

In the future, such things will probably be much more physical clues, similar to a treasure map or, as you say, things you buy or gain as rewards. Maybe even buying the 'map' with physical clues and never knowing unless you find it if you were ripped off or not

Ok, I restarted and looked in the old familiar places for the stashes, but when I found them there was no note included.

Have I broken this quest from the beginning by getting access to ones I shouldn't have? Or have all the locations been changed? Not having the journal notes show up is weird.

It is not possible for you to find any stash out of sequence PERIOD. Several new locations have been created, some are the same. You can't break it. You can't cheat it. If there is no note, it isn't an Alun's stash. If the note isn't a riddle, it's not an Alun's stash unless you have already found all 7 others with riddles in them and found the final stash with a reward and note.

Now I'm starting to hunt these down like a madman. I found the stash with the Honorary PM. That's only #2, right?

Yeah that's number two. I don't know where the third one is and the clue doesn't really make any sense to me so it's likely going to be months for me to find it if I ever do at all.

I will provide hints via PM if the riddles make no sense to anyone, especially because of language/cultural differences...
