If you haven’t played 2007’s most immersive and atmospheric shooter, or you’re back for replay, this mod is for you. This is the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. like you’ve never seen before, with updated graphics and added functionality that don’t change the original story or gameplay. The game hasn’t been changed beyond recognition, but rather enhanced while preserving the core elements that made it the unique experience it is.

I recently upgraded my computer, and I can now run STALKER with absolutely no issues whatsoever. So, naturally, I began using this as my go-to mod to make it look better. I seem to be having a lighting issue related to Full Dynamic Lighting; whenever I switch it to FDL, the vegetation and some textures like to mess up their shading. It's maybe 1 in 25 textures goes completely black across the entire landscape. The really weird thing is that it changes whenever I move in the slightest; every time I move, a new set of bushes or gravel goes black. If this has already been addressed, please direct me to the fix, I didn't see it. Please note that this is NOT the shadow artifacts bug AFAIK; that one is taken care of as per the changelog. Thanks in advance for any help, |

Hi Jonathan, we've been trying to identify this issue on Steam forums, someone even posted a video, please check if it's the same: |

diablow, SSAO artifacts appear on both ATI and Nvidia, and even with official GSC shaders, I played Call of Pripyat without any mods and black lines were still there. |

I was told its a specifig shader bug which only occurs on ati card but I dont know I dont have a nvidia and I only heard this complaint from people with ati cards so I thought the comment was true. maybe I mixed it up with the shadow wall bug which haunts the player with a shadow wall moving in front of him. yes I also had this in cop.in all stalker games soc cs and cop. Pavel, I tried what the guy said, and it didn't seem to have any effect. |

He probably done something else, like reinstalled drivers, and thought it was user.ltx settings. I normally collect all feedback and form a solution but currently I don't have an answer for that, sorry. |

Ok. Thanks for trying. I figured out what it was. I noticed a common trend among the people complaining of this problem. We all had NVidia 3D drivers installed. Even though mine were inactive, they WERE installed. I uninstalled them off of my computer completely and the glitch is gone. Perfectly working SoC with SC2009. Thanks for the help guys, and make sure to spread this around. Also, as a test, I reinstalled the drivers, and the bug returned. |

I'm currently running 1.0006 with Stalker Complete 1.4.3.2 and having Black Vertical Bars when looking at the sun. I'm not having the strobe problem, just the bars. I'm going to try the fixes mentioned above and look into the 3D driver issue as well, though I don't think I've ever used that.
NVM, I not smart enough to post image, lol. Parallel thread here at dslreports dot com forward slash forum forward slash r23715249-Stalker-Complete-1432 cause its easier to post images. Edited by: rpggm |

I solved my vertical bar problem by changing r2_sun_near_border and r2_near_border to 20 and 1 respectively. |

Thank you for figuring this out!! It's been bugging me a LOT, now I just have to convince my brother that he really doesn't NEED to play games in 3D |
