CoM English Standalone (1.0d fix2) file - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: CoM mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
Call of Misery started as an unofficial port of Misery 2 to Call of Chernobyl but has since gone on to add its own features and changes. There are now many addons for CoM itself, most of which are released in Russian. This mod has CoM and some of the popular addons for CoM along with some of the translations for them. Credit will be given in each mod and addon to the creators and translators.
Description
A Standalone repack of CoM (1.0d fix2) with the English translation (1.0.14). This is a fully installed and updated copy of CoM. Unpack the file to any folder of your choice outside of Program Files and you're ready to play CoM - run Call of Misery.exe.

There's no reload after death that is any saves have been deleted thus stuck hovering over dead body and if you restart and try any saves a popup window say no saves/loads while still alive or they are disabled.
Do we have to restart every time we die or leave the game to play later, this is not good.
No matter what i do to get mod to save the save/load system get disabled.
Was the saves/reloads mechanics deliberately left out to annoy us or is it a joke to give something worth to play only snatch it away by a stupid mistake.
The fact that the save/load is disabled plus stuck at death is a big annoyance and makes this mod is unplayable.
All of that just works, so you've got something messed up at your end. Did your choose campfire saves or somehow enable Ironman mode? Did you copy over user.ltx or appdata?
Regardless, install this to a new folder and run the exe as it says. It should just work. Do that before installing or tweaking anything over it.

Does it work with call of chernobyl 1.5?
No, CoM is based on 1.4.
This is a standalone, you don't need CoC to run it. Just install this one package and run it.

CoC? i think its Call of Pripyat. You need an installed Call of Pripyat in your PC.
For CoC, you need Call of Pripyat installed. But you can pirate the game, and CoC will run on the pirated version of Call of Pripyat...
you don't need another stalker game installed just to fix that error. instead of that, download and install the registry file from Call of Pripyat so you will be able to play either Call of Chernobyl or whatever mod you want to, without need the CoP.

Erm, the title says "Standalone" means = doesn't need anything else to run, so no, no need for CoC
Alright, different dumb question, is there any way to enable debug options in call of misery OR Last Day? Even adding -dbg to the end of the shortcut doesn't work for me, is there any tips or anything that re-enables this feature?
I'm pretty new to the modding of Stalker games. Can someone explain to me what you exactly need to run this mod? Is this like a FULL standalone mod which doesn't require any of the Stalker games and is fully modded, or you need to have like Call of Pripyat exe or Misery to run it?

You still need the base game, call of Pripyat installed somewhere, the mod however is standalone and will run from its own folder as long as call of pripyat is somewhere
I am trying to run this, but, when i am loading into the game, after choosing my character, the game crashes. The reason that I am getting is "gamedata-configs-ui-ui faction select.
Guys could you do a torrent for this file or at lesst break it down into separate downloads? This has frozen on me like 5 times... 😥

Is there a different host for this file? All the mirrors here keeps giving me download errors. I've tried different storages and browsers to no avail.
there's very serious radiation on water, so can't play the game in zaton or swamp...

Simply don't go in the water. If you don't already know, water in S.T.A.L.K.E.R mostly has radiation.

My Settings do not work noting well apply HELP.
I'm playing as Duty and found out Yanov is a strictly Freedom base now, with Loki and Yar hostile to me (and killable), and no Shulga to be found. Is this normal? If so, is there another location I can find Shulga or was he taken out of the game?
Yes, it is a Freedom base. Not sure about Shulga couse i have to avoid Yanov at all cost, it corrupts all my saves, even those made before ever entering it, disable saving/loading, weather options (instant ctd), displace npc all over the base ect ect...
Hi. I'm new here. I recently returned to PC gaming and just finished CoP. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. by far is one of my favorite all time games (SoC and CoP).
So I just finished CoP and want more! (Not a fan of CS). I downloaded this mod and after downloading and extracting I tried to start the game. I got some warning from my computer and then MacAfee anti-virus said it quarantined the file and the CoM icon disappeared from my folder on the desktop.
Like I said, I've recently gotten back into PC gaming and as a result am new to the mods world of gaming (though I'm familiar with what they are and all that).
So basically, I want to play CoM. It looks amazing and I've heard nothing but great things. But I can't get it to work.
Any help? Suggestions?

Dont waste your time with this mod play Anomaly Mod. Its balanced and works much better, but required 64 bit os
Anomaly is not for everyone you need a good pc to run that brick i try it today and i have to say despite the low frame rate its looking good but i rather play a more down to earth stalker with solid 60 frames than below 30, Call of Chernobyl [CoC 1.4.22 - 1.5b],Call of Misery, Call of The Zone from DoctorX is a good choice not to mention the good old stalkers series.

hello, I just downloaded the CoM standalone and I have 7zip but when I try to extract it using 7zip it says:
can not open the file as [7z] archive
unexpected end of data
so I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it and the same thing happened. I also tried opening it with win RAR and the same thing happened. I don't know if this has anything to do with the fact that I already have CoC installed but its really annoying. can someone help?
When downloading this (about 7 times now) it always finishes the download at 70% and when trying to extract (using WinRAR, uniextractor and 7zip) it says that there is an unexpected end to data. The same thing happens with Last Day 1.3 also.
Any help with this would be great.
Update. I did the 4 step install over CoC 1.4.16 and that worked :)

I don't think I understand the description. You want me to just unload the folder with the contents anywhere other than program files and run the .exe?It doesn't seem to launch for me, I see the logo in the middle of my screen and then it disappears and doesn't launch the game. I also moved the contents to my CoP folder and same thing. How do you get this to work?
