This is a (skirmish) mod created with the intention to bring the feeling of the Lord of the Rings movies into the game Battle for Middle Earth II, and ad "realism" through re-balance and re-skinning of the entire game! Our forum can be found here. BETA 4.5 was released in Nov. 2007.

~Special Extended Edition Preview: Edoras Reborn~

User Posted Image

After many long weeks and months of work, the S.E.E. team proudly presents Edoras Reborn, featuring brand new buildings modelled and skinned by the ever-talented ttandchotmail. The map itself, which isn't finished yet (only the buildings are), will be included in the next public beta. Below you can find a preview with screenshots in .pdf format, and you can also watch the video showcase.

For those people looking for a download of the 4.5 mod, check out the SEE website on Revora.

It is actually hosted on Gamefront, however. So this is a direct link to the download:

Nazgul is currently working on The Special Extended Edition - Director's Cut and is working meticulously through every aspect. It will take a long time to complete. I am looking at my list of maps (Dol Guldur edit, Goblin Town, Paths of the Dead edit) for SEE and they alone will take a year to complete with my lifestyle. However, trust in this project, Nazgul has officially stated that he will not give up.

Build time could indeed be a little shorter (especially for units like archers), but actually, it's not that bad; now, the enemy (even medium-difficult) can't rush immediately at the beginning.

I think all build time of this mod must be shorter! its impossible to play!

In newer RTS games (and possible the reason the gametype died out) build times are quick and battles are shorter. SEE went for a different speed of game. It didn't just add to the game, it changed it.

Very agreeable but I believe it is adjustable to. From what I can think of, the build time for meat shields are 45 to 50 seconds and I can't remember the time for them on the vanilla.
