Southern Rise is a multiplayer modification for Unreal Tournament 3 Drawing from the rich and unique story that we have created, we hope to put players in an exciting game experience that hasn’t been seen in a FPS modification. Southern Rise is a project that will try to take the spunk and personality of the old adventure games and bring them into a new type of FPS experience.
Southern Rise is something a bit different then your average mod. We are looking to create something different and fun with a unique style. We don't want to make the “Generic Gun Shooting Terrorist” mod for Unreal Tournament 3. Mod makers have the privilege of trying something new and doing it without having to answer to a publisher and that's what we are doing.

Mr.Twine and Matti Muse have made their way to the concept art stage.

i hope you guys are still at it. this has to be the most imaginative game i've heard about in a while.
Anything new happening with you guys. Only reason I'd buy UT3 is for this and warm gun so I really hope this is still in development

yea, i understand ... in the past versions of Unreal Tournament there really isn't a runthrough style ... just a series of instant gameplay modes that you have to work through ... it would be pretty time consuming to make a SP campaign built out of maps that would follow each other one by one ...
hmm ... the only way a SP would work without too much effort is to run it parallel to what UT does ... instead of walking/shooting through all the maps and having them blend together, you could just do a "battle" campaign ... basically switching the standard maps with your maps and instead calling the UT Matches Southern "Battle" ;) ... that way the same maps you make for MP are reused in SP ;) ...
i dunno ... that still would require work :P ...
Hey Assaultman67, the mod is Multiplayer. We really like the idea of a single player campaign, but we don't think we'll be able to get around to it.
