Source Modding Base previously knows as 'SVN singleplayer mod-base' is a base that feature many custom functions that should be useful by new mod makers.


Main features:

41 new weapons (from pistols and smg's to melee, op4 recreations & hand barnacle)

8 new npc (Hecu Grunt, Combine Assassin, Xen Aliens, Bullsquid, Houndeye, Gargantua, Big Momma)

Over 40 options and console commands (You can make your OWN gameplay)

Third person camera mode (+ many options for it, can be automated)

Working keypads (password panel)

Fun additions - Jetpack, Long-Jump (HL1), B-hop jumping, High Jump.

Enhanced GIBS.

Full player customisation (Model, No fall damage, Weapon aim styles and a lot)


And much more... everything included in Instructions folder inside the mod.

missing jalopy model, you need to unpack episode 2 content to get it work cause old sdk 2007 didn't load .vpk caches.
By the way this base will be usefull for total conversions which means you have your own models.

This is closed source project, the main idea is to allow community create mods simpler via ready base but not just copypasted .cpp files from project to project.

Hello, I have told you this problem before but I now know what is casing this. To me anyway, the .fqd file may be broken. I even tried using 3.0 version but the .fqd file didn't work on there. please help me! I want to use your mod bace for my mod. Please, reply as soon as you can.

P.S how's it going on the overcharged mod. It looks amazing so far.

I found solution, current latest version of hammer in sdk 2013 required to add "include" lines to the up of .fgd file.
Previously i was using old hammer from sdk 2007 and have no problem, but since most of the mappers using latest version - you need to add few lines to get it work.

By the way i've made new .fgd for Overcharged based on my previous work with all fixes included, this is not means that Overcharged will be "updated source base", this is way different project and i just want to explain some things.
