Prototype Updated to Version 2.2f

Download the Full Install or the Update Only.

Yesterday I coded in two new parsers to the prototype to demonstrate some of the features I discussed in my previous update.  They include the ability to spawn an entire YouTube channel (or playlist) into an arcade at once, and also the ability to display your unlocked Steam Trading Cards for all of your different Steam games.

The beauty of Anarchy Arcade's design is its simplicity.  Even in the prototype, every single item you see is a standard Anarchy Arcade shortcut.

In the Steam version, you will earn in-game rewards every time you do well playing one of your other games.  You'll get points for unlocking cards and achievements, etc.  All of the technology demonstrated here will be tied into your Steam profile to consolidate all of your media & gaming career into this immersive 3D multiplayer desktop.

Also in this update, I have fixed an issue with over-the-shoulder spectating.  It will work properly now in Multiplayer servers.

Giving Away 1 FREE Game EVERY Hour for 24 hours!

Tomorrow, starting at midnight in just 4 short hours, I will be doing another 24 hour Anarchy Arcade live broadcast where I give away 1 free Steam game every hour.  If you're interested in seeing Anarchy Arcade in action, getting some free games, or just having a good time in general, check out the Twitch stream at  See you there!

Less Than 5 Days Left on Kickstarter

There are only a few short days before the Kickstarter campaign concludes, so now's the time to head on over to the Kickstarter and make a memorable contribution to Anarchy Arcade!

theres a lot of ignorance going on in here....
this is a very original idea, and original piece of work, and an overall generous amount of effort being put into something, that im sure many will enjoy....
if u dont like the idea, then just dont pay attention to it, and dont donwload it....simple enough...

This is an interesting concept, but in all honesty I know that myself and everyone that I know would never consider using this over the simplicity of just being organised.

If someone is not organised, for them to decide to one day organize or find files, loading a mod and sorting everything in a 3D cluttered environment is the last thing they would ever do.

Kudos on the attempt at being original, but its kinda pointless and I can see yourself wasting your own and everyone else's time. :(

I think you have created a very exceptional piece of work here, Sith. Despite what all the negative comments say, as one-sided as they all are, this mod is capable of so much more than what is discussed.

I love the idea of being able to walk into a virtual movie theater, and watch a streaming downloaded movie with my friends from around the world. It's like we actually went to a movie together, even though we are 1000 miles apart. I know the MP portion of the mod isn't complete yet, but this is merely a stepping stone to something much greater.

People just need to realize that this mod isn't 100% complete yet. Once you are able to get your team together to hash out the extreme programming and design, this will be quite an awesome piece of software. I support your work, and I give you a huge thumbs up for your dedication to the creation of this mod.

Also, I just want to point out that this mod isnt very user-friendly at the moment. It is still in very early Beta stages of development, which means it is basically just functional. It is a pain in the *** to make things work the way you want, and hopefully that will become much easier later on.

I suggest using this mod with a very open mind. Don't expect it to be mind blowing and awesome at initial startup. When more maps and features are implemented, the main objective behind this creation will become more prominent. Also, give more credit where it is due, Sith put a lot of time and effort into this mod.

This mod is completely pointless.

Why not just use shortcuts on desktop to important items? Who hear really wants to run a game so that they can find that essay from 2 months ago when there's a nice helpful feature called "Search" already installed.

All this program does is just act as a giant shortcut hub that's over cluttered and hard to navigate to find the file your looking for

Heh, thanks for defending the mod foxholeboy, but be sure to give it a try on your current machine too man. The Source engine ALT+Tabs very nicely when it is ran in window mode, a completely different experience than ALT+Tabbing from fullscreen mode. If you can run HL2, you should be able to ALT+Tab from Source Media Arcade, when it is ran in window mode.
