Are you looking for a more narrative experience than endless skirmish missions when playing as one of the many race mods available? If the answer to either of the above questions is yes, then this mod will be of interest to you. The Soulstorm: Strongholds mod unlocks all sixteen Dark Crusade and Soulstorm stronghold maps, allowing you to play them directly from the skirmish menu - cutscenes, objectives and all. More than that, though, it allows you to play using one of the many race mods currently available, in addition to the nine included with Soulstorm. Download and enjoy. :)
Dawn of War: Strongholds gets an essential update to bring it in line with the latest version of Unification and Inquisition: Daemonhunt, while also addressing another swarm of bugs. Delete any previous installations of Dawn of War: Strongholds first, then extract the contents of the zip file to your Dawn of War: Soulstorm installation folder. You will then need to run configure_mods.cmd, which can be found inside the stronghold_missions_ss folder. If you don't get any error messages, Dawn of War: Strongholds can then be run from the Game Manager on the Soulstorm main menu. As always, check the readme for full instructions and just let me know if there are any problems.
Small Problem, i have the Unification new race downloaded but, it says it is still missing even though i have it installed
Do you have a file called "Unification_New_Races.module" in your Soulstorm installation folder?
yes i do but i do the configure, and it says its missing the three main mods even though i have those installed
Did you install Strongholds in the right place? You should have the stronghold_missions_ss folder and the stronghold_missions_ss.module file in your Soulstorm installation folder. The configure_mods.cmd file must be in your stronghold_missions_ss folder. It is essential that everything is in the right place.

Yeah, whichever folder "soulstorm.exe" happens to be in.
yeah its in there, everything is installed but when i use configure, it says everything is installed, i start it up from game manager and it just said failed to activate the requested game

Not yet - they've been disabled until a bug in the Night Lords mod has been fixed.
Curiously, was issue with RAGE mod on DC Chaos stronghold fixed (getting hit by bloodpulse caused SCAR error)?

but i when i start a map: pavonis for example, the text an dialog plays but there is no scene, is a black screen is this normal?
The mission prologues are on a black screen - after this has finished or if you skip the prologue, the mission title should show and then it will fade in from black.

Unfortunately it's not that simple - it will take a hell of a lot of work for every mission to get save games working properly. Maybe some day though.

Probably a corrupted file somewhere - I'd recommend deleting, then re-downloading and re-installing the mod. If it's still doing it after that, just let me know.

When choosing any mission for Tyranid Sawrm, a critical error occurs at the very beginning of the game, sometimes even in the mission movie.
Tell me where exactly the logs with errors are, that I could show them to you, and we identified a possible cause.

I tried every mission, and as it turned out, not all the missions of the Tyranids Swarm give out a error. Here is the list of missions with an error:

Well that's a new one. Turns out it's a change in the newest version of Unification that I failed to take into account - Tyranid Swarm weren't my highest priority at the time as they don't have a public release. I'll take a look at fixing it ASAP.
Seems to be sorted now. I'll do some more testing to make sure though.

Probably because you're playing in Russian - this mod only has English language support.

You could rename the folder "stronghold_missions_ss/locale/english" to whatever the Russian version should be called, although this will turn your game into a weird mashup of English and Russian.
Открой stronghold_missions_ss/Locale и найди папку English. Затем создай там же папку Russian и скопируй в нее содержимое папки English. Появятся тексты на оригинальном английском языке.

That's a bug with the Vostroyan mod rather than Strongholds. I'll pass it on to the Vostroyan mod team.
You'll probably encounter a similar problem on Lacunae, so I'd avoid playing that mission as Vostroyans as well for now. Other missions should be ok though, but I can't promise anything.

During the passage of the Tur'abis Catacombs mission, or rather, during the launch of the second film, when you approach the relic point, a critical error occurred. I played for a renegades faction.

A similar error happens to me in the mission of Tyrea, if i play a Dark Angels faction and choose the branch of Ravenwing.
Also, crashing game if i run any of the missions from the Dark Crusade, giving planetary advantages. When i using classical factions.
What sort of crash was it in these missions? Fatal Scar Error or a crash to desktop?

Are you sure it's a Fatal Scar Error? If so then there will be an error listed somewhere in your log, which I can't see above.
Can you send me a PM of the complete scarlog.txt file for the session where the crash occurred?
I read that it is not essential, but I'd better ask. Does the fact that I have version Soulstorm 1.2, and not 1.3?
Also I would like to know, does Locale somehow affect the performance of the game? Should I then use a non-translated version and play on the original version?
1.2 will be fine, it's actually what I use. What do you mean by 1.3 though - are you talking about the Steam version?

There seems to be an issue whereby I get a fatal scar error at the very start of the Hyperion Peaks map when playing as any of the vanilla races. So far tested with Tau, Necron and Chaos but it worked fine when playing as Steel Legion.
I've found and fixed the errors for Chaos and Tau, but Necrons work fine for me.
