The aim of this mod is to add in the old locations from ShoC and Clear Sky, and to provide an enhanced and extended gameplay experience while (mostly) sticking to the vanilla storyline. At this point, the mod (v0.45 alpha)contains 37 locations total, approx. 200 weapons, lots of new armors, items, artifacts and anomalies.

Man, I can remember running out of ammo for all my weapons and no grenades left right when a giant starting beating me senseless. It was in your mod too, the 0.41 beta. And just to troll me, a stash with a medkit was right next to me when monolith showed up and blew me away with a Spaz-12, Dragunov, AK (no clue which type), and a railgun. It taught me not to ever go into Pripyat without any machine guns, grenades, shotguns, or rocket launchers.
The key of survival is preparation ^^ Btw, were you doing the "mystery weapon" quest in Pripyat? That should explain the gauss rifle attack :P

this happened to me when i was fighting chimera and psy giant in front and in the back some monolith bastards but i got out it alive thx to artifact

ur armor is broken and btw u don't have ammo on ur vintorez, i guess the knife its a good weapon then :P, too bat u can't throw it

Make the sound of the Vintorez and the AS Val more intense, and make new animations... when firing the vanilla ones you get the feeling of shooting bb guns! they're actually shooting 9mm assault/sniper rounds!
The best way to survive is to stay in that new shelter all the time :D
