i only get half life 2 weapons and no redux weapons and the options dont work

not just need it lol only hl2.... worked and i launched it with only hl2
they worked for me but nopw they dont its juist normal hl2 weapons
this mod dont work options dont work and redux weapon
does this need cs:s caues it will not install :(

EDIT: I have the smod menu buttons like the gore options and stuff. But I did New Game and clicked the first level but it wont load, the menu just disappears. So I tried to put d1_canals_01 (one of the levels where metrocops are chasing you) but it says its an invalid map. Help!!!!!!
I'm also having the same problem, i try to click on new game, but then the menu disappears. Can someone help me?
found the solution: download the v8 patch then copy all maps from hl2,hl2dm and hl2 lost coast.
