The M16 and M4 are way better, and the G36 and P90 leaves them in the dust. Only if the AK is golden, that is just too cool :P

It has been proven in real life that the ak-47 is the best assault rifle. It's just that the Americans like the m16 and m4 more because the ak-47 is used more by terroist.
ak 47 has a large heavy round and is very inaccurate, but it is powerful
where the m16 and m4 are much more accurate but lack the stopping power the 47 or even the 74 has
actually the AK series is just as accurate as a M16,M4, or G36 you just have to take the time to learn to fire it accurately, my friend Vladimir is accurate enough with his AK47 to hit a Deer 600 feet away in the head, I have seen this when I hunt with him.
the M-series of rifles has an overcomplex, jam-prone mechanism, whereas the AK has a simple, spacious mech that allows lots of room for movement and keeps dirt and crap from getting lodged inside. So while the AK may not be as accurate, the guy with the AK will have quite the advantage over the guy unjamming his M-series
also if the AK gets a jam it is extremely easy and fast to unjam,but a AK isn't likely to jam anyway, you can easily fire 2,000 rounds in one day without a single jam, I know this because I have done this.

The AK does not suck; it's way more reliable than the M4. M4 < M16 < AK. But they serve different purposes; the AK was meant more for close-range automatic fire - just look at the reciever. First click down from safety is full-auto, as if the semi-auto mode was just an after-thought. M16's are meant for longer range.
Back on-topic, I think what we have here is an AKM. Bakelite magazine and ribbed reciever cover, also in full-view mode there is no long '74 style muzzle brake. It's an AKM.
People, the best gun ever is not the AK, not the M4, M16 or G36. It's tested and a fact: The best weapon ever was the H&K XM8 until they stopped the prototypes, now it's the SCAR series, they got second best score, and third was HK416. Guess what gun got the worst score? M4
you sir are wrong nothing in 5.56 or .223 is good gun, 5.56 or .223 is a weak round the only reason it is the NATO standard is because of the range you can hit your target at, if I had it my way the standard NATO round would be 7.62 x 51mm(a.K.a. .308).
Not surprising, M4's are ******. All the weapons that H&K make are the best of the best, and that's more of a fact than an opinion.

Plus, the AK is regarded as better than the M16 - Hell, it was classed as such by GI's in 'nam. Pure durable, more powerful... The only downside is the magazine, and its difficult to lie down and fire with it. :P

LOL!! that's not why they don't use the AK-47, its becuase the AK-47 has a much more limited range rather then the M16, but it has the power to penetrate and the m16 can't do that well and they prefer the m16 becuase its accuracy is reliable and it can reach the "KILLZONE"(chest area, head , lower abdonmen). so that's why.
achem, thats not an AK47, AK47s usually dont have plastic stocks, it must be an AK74 or a modified version of the AK of some sort i guess
