I think it kinda died 'cause i get an error that is like mountfilesystem (321) failed: steamMountfilesystem (20180,321,0x20b9f628=,0x20b9f518) failed with error 116: Cache needs repair. HELP ME!!!! i really wanna play this!

When I tried installing the installer halted installation giving me a message of:
"Smod Tactical-Project Life has not been totally installed because of the following reason:
maps\dm_mine_enhanced.bsp: this file containts invalid data (error 21fc)
You till have to run this utility again to completely install Smod Tactical-Project Life."
I've ran the installer numerous times and this error code doesn't cease to appear. Any solutions please?
I've never ran into that. Try Downloading it again. If it still doesn't work I'll see what I can do before I leave for Jambo (it's a BSA thing).

i at least wish with the death of the old community that the guy with the smod source code would release it already... then we could REALLY bring it to life.

When i went to install it was saying invalid directory, I checked the one given and noticed it didnt say /program files (x86)/ just /program files/
the (x86) is the proper one for people with 64-bit processors and it would be nice if you could make a note or an option for 64-bit that adds the (x86)
yea that happened to me too. i just moved it over and it works fine
X86 is 32bit. at least that's what people have told me, I could be wrong.
oops forgot to reply to your comment. I have a 32 bit OS, so in the program files doesn't have the X86 on it. Just add the x86 to it and it will work. I really don't know if making a new installer that is Just to add that in there is the best idea, but I should do it just to be safe.
Tried to load it 4 or 5 times,also tried a couple of different ways. Not showing up in Steam SourceMods ? Dont know where it went???
Spoke to soon, I didnt realize it wasnt going to x86 Program files and was only going to program files. My bad. (Vista 64) Its in there now!

You need both CSS & HL2 so yea. Also bootlegged version can work but will be very very glitchy I tested that out a week ago. Steam HL2 & CSS are recommended. I say this because some ppl prefer the bootlegged versions as all the files can be easily accessed without the use of GCFScape.
When i start it up it crashes to my desktop without a error like the alien swarm crash
put -dxlevel 8 1 in the launch options
why are there no sniper rifles? I WANT MY SNIPER RIFLES! WAH!
there are sniper rifles, "give weapon_awm" don't use this on a few of the coast maps, it likes to crash the game, also you need to have a weapon out when you do this or it crashes.
The game keeps crashing after the coast levels(Prison).
yea the coast crashing thing was a bug in the original version. Its rather annoying & hopefully it will be fixed. This was/is the aim of my realistic add on skin pack in that I wanted to fixed thos glitches in the campaign. Maybe I can help fix the bugs but atm I am preoccupied with school. -_-

Ya, it's an EXE file. In a few weeks I'll try to upload it as a RAR or Zip file.
ah hell....I just installed it in the correct folder (sourcemods) but it's not even showing up at all!

yeah I already did, but it's not showing up. Question: If have CSS scifi mod, would that interfere in any way with installing Smod tactical? They do use very similar features. Should I delete CSS scifi mod?
It might. But I'm not very sure on that part. The old team made an update that was made to fix that error with other Smods, how ever CS:S sifi has been know to over write other versions of Smod. It's a good I dea to try and just move the folder to another place in your comp so you don't lose any data. If this does work, then the error is in sifi. You can back redux, normal smod, and tactical all at the same time.
