Smitberg Modding Corporation’s BF1942 AI Mod, taking the legendary Grenademan’s equally legendary ‘AIE42’ as its inspiration, is built around the goal of helping to keep BF1942 a fun Single-Player experience; We consider this to be of the utmost importance in the world of today where good Single-Player shooters are few and far between. From adding new weapons & vehicles, to modifying the existing weapons and the way that bots handle them, this mod is already at a more than playable stage and will be updated as often as possible as we discover new things we can tinker with and improve.
2.0 version that contains various tweaks and will be NECESSARY to use the upcoming 'Road To Rome' and 'Secret Weapons' versions of the mod.
Even though it is in the description, black and white, clear as crystal, I will remind you: You must un-install the 1.0 version before installing this one.
Also, I apologise for this being a 7-zip file.
This was necessary to keep the file size down.
If you don't already have 7-zip, you can download it from here:
7-zip.org
It is a truly wonderful compression utility.
Should I be running the "Play SMC AI Mod.bat" file? As it seems, with this mod, all maps crash after some time in game (singleplayer) NOTE: This just recently started to act up, it was great in the begining.
Hi, and sorry for the extraordinarily late reply.
Yes; either run that .bat file, or launch the mod from the 'Custom Game' section of the game menu.
As for the crashing, I can safely say that I have no idea; BF 1942 was a temperamental game enough on release, and the years have only exacerbated it's issues.
All I can recommend is the usual;
1) Run the game (if using Vista or later) in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.
2) Run the game (if using Windows XP SP3 or later) as Administrator.
A Google search will help if you don't know how to do either of those.
3) Last resort; Re-install the game to somewhere other than your Program Files (or Program Files (x86)) folder.
