Today i figured out how to make some rather VERY HIGH quality backgrounds with 0 lag at all. hope this is enough to wet your whistle.
Very nice, Skybox or 3D model? I'd imagine it's a skybox since a 3D model of that size and quality would be a huge strain!

Yes its a Skybox, brandnew way of mapping hw2 backgrounds, still working out the kinks atm. should be in the next public release.

Unfortunately, Earth was destroyed in SLipstream.
You could put the remnants of Earth? Have it destroyed in such a way as it's most dramatic yet still recogniseable?
