As you probably guessed already, the game isn't out yet. Unfortunately, project was really busy and problematic and it made me come across a lot of trouble. Eventualy, when I got a lot of things working, they released Source 2 coming up soon. Well, this is where the bad news come: the game isn't going to be released soon. To avoid any missunderstanding: I'm not porting the game into Source 2 engine and it is going to be released in its Source form.

"But how's the mod progress?" you might ask.. well' it's done partly and everything isn't bonded yet to make it a playable experience. I have a lot of things programmed and implemented in game which didn't exist in Source and in any other Source mod.. I can only ensure you: this is experience a bit diferent than original Half-Life 2, and it's a good news!

I need to rewrite some implementations and hire some new people (remember i dont pay anyone for making this mod). I'm in need of somebody who can make graphics, texture, etc. Also, I'm still in need of anyone who's into music and making soundtracks, and still: voice actors are needed as hell!

The release date? I dunno. I can't really tell more or less cause its hard to speculate. The more help i'll get, the faster it's going to be released!

And, about the size of the game, it's going to be aprox. 2 GB packed in 1GB package or something like this. It's a better solution than before when I told you about the size.

So, see you later in next Sleepless update!

Love ya,
Sleepless programmer and level designer

Ok, I see you guys need a explanation. So, the game is fine it only got a little... technical problems. Kaitek will make news today, so don't worry, everything is fine. We will only need to move the release date. Cheers.

Update please.

I will play it no matter how big it is, as long as it looks great it'll be worth it.

Alhough your mod does look really awsome, the size of it will make that some people will not play it because of there internet download speed and or data restrictions.

By the way, will you use a torrent for downloading it? Because when you upload it to Moddb it will take a half day or more to download it.

Ofcourse could you place it in a rar file so it will be lowered down by half of the size. But that still will make about 2,5 GB's.

All in all, am tracking, very interesting.
a fellow modder,

I've got a very big trouble with uploading as well. My Internet upload speed is 30kb/s. Uploading 100MB takes 1 hour, so 5GB would take 50 hours - more than 2 days! Although, I'm going to upload it from somewhere else. Well, I expect uploading it on dropbox and here, on ModDB. I don't think I can find some good hosts for my torrent file. About the size.. I've been thinking to make it smaller, but I don't think I would make it be less than 2,5GBs. After packing it to RAR file it would be like 2GBs or less - that'd be enough I guess. Time will show how it'll be going to look like. Anyway, thanks for your interest, cheers! :)

Are your textures in the correct VTF format? One mistake I see a lot is all VTFs being imported in (for example) BGRA8888 format when DXT1 would work just fine, and it can turn a texture that should only be <500kb up to 2-8 MB w/ no gain. Just something to look into if you're still having filesize issues (and still have your raw texture images lying around). :)

@Kostiik24 Can't installer be packed in RAR file? Also, can't installer just unpack the archive included in it? I didn't give up idea of installer. Not yet :)
