Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. Armed with nothing but a 9mm and a pair of brass knuckles, you must do whatever it takes to survive against the thousands of zombies that used to be your friends and neighbors. The cost of failure is nothing less than your free will. There are no heroes. No single person can save the world and there are not enough bullets to go around. The only thing left to do is to kill the damned, hoping that you don’t end up like them.
They're still a work-in-progress and I'm certainly no player animator, but I think they came out pretty well. A reworked version will likely make it into v1.50.
zombie cant just look and dont do anything...he must be like...he drunked and can easily fall! looked like he was weak...
and your animation when he ran...look at his hands they dont bend!
and thats a good news that u finally have own animation! horray!! :)
He is weak. He's a zombie. It's the same reason his hands don't bend very much; his body has been torn apart by the infection. But his hands do move quite a bit, especially when he's running. Nevertheless, thanks for your comment. =P
for example...played L4D? remember how zombie stands? he falls from one side to other...or he just lies on the floor...
hm, idea! u have 3 walk(run) animations! maybe u can make one where zombie dont raise his hands at all! If u do it like I imagine it would be great! :)
PS and I know its so easy to say! ):
PSS I have seen a video on your account(https://www.moddb.com/members/grey-echo)...zombies looks like robots!!
The version in my profile is old, but that aside they don't look anything like robots anyway.
anyway! I want to play! and try to update! I see that it is work-in-progress! but try o_O
I love it man. what program did you use. I'm making similar anims for a mod.
3DS Max. Once you get the process down, it's rather easy, however the process itself is pretty complicated. Best of luck. =)
oh by the way I added some walking anims to a model a while ago but it wouldn't move :p.
Looks nice, glad you got some new animations!
But the animations here look really odd, the top of his body is not animated at all, you can see this because its attached to the "Pelvis" bone which is animated because of the legs, but the top is not at all.
Hmmm that's what is hard with animating. Here is a little tip I can offer:
1. Select all the animated parts (leg bones) and then hide them.
2. Delete all keys off the remaining torso bones.
3. Move them all into a position.
4. Select them all on frame 0, make them a keyframe, then move to the last frame and set a keyframe there too.
5. Then go to the middle and move the hands around.
6. And then you can just move stuff around with Auto Key.
Basically this will allow the hands too move and not mess up the animation and give them a smooth moving.
Hope this helps, need more then just give me a message.
thats what I say, but YOU know what YOU said >.<
Thanks for the tips. I'll see what I can do.
And Dangerious, the difference between your comment and his is that he explained more what he was talking about. Sorry I misunderstood you.
>.< yes, I know! -.-
