Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. Armed with nothing but a 9mm and a pair of brass knuckles, you must do whatever it takes to survive against the thousands of zombies that used to be your friends and neighbors. The cost of failure is nothing less than your free will. There are no heroes. No single person can save the world and there are not enough bullets to go around. The only thing left to do is to kill the damned, hoping that you don’t end up like them.

What do you mean? The only way a chainsaw does any damage is if it has a chain on it. 0.o

Ah, well we needed to do something to at least make it somewhat realistic. The new chain on the chainsaw in Harrison's reskin looks a bit more real, though.

Still not a fan of all the blood starting on weapons :/

Maybe you should talk to dec and find out how he got blood to be applied to weapons as they are used

It's rather easy to add blood to weapons as they are used. I know what needs to be done and it would certainly be a neat feature, but we'll be staying with the base textures we have on all of the weapons for now. Redoing each from scratch would be much too time consuming. Perhaps that's something we'll look into down the road, though.

It should work just fine. Perhaps find a different decompiler version?

The gameplay is fun but most of the models are gaytarded (gay+retarded) i mean like the mp5k thing looks like crap the axe sucks and THE PISTOL IS FREAKING STUPID! sorry but i just think it takes a lot away from the gameplay which could be really awsome

I strongly disagree. Each weapon is unique, powerful and unlike other mods, modeled almost 100% accurately.

How does this screenshot show off the skins? I feel like it's hiding them more then showing them off. The acid trip going on in the background doesn't compliment the models infront of it, and I'm guessing the redlines were necessary so the guns didn't blend in entirely to the background.

Should really look into proper rendering techniques to really compliment both the model and texture, and show it off in a professional manner. I feel like I've walked into a highschool beginners photoshop class.

Harrison, one of our mappers, has recently begun reworking most of the current weapon skins. He's darkening each weapon and improving its phong to make them a bit more realistic.
