Situation Outbreak Two, the prequel to the original Half-Life 2 total conversion that started it all, is an upcoming "stand-alone" Counter-Strike: Source modification about the impending zombie apocalypse.
Just taking a wild guess npc survivors? buy the looks of the radar the green dots are players or allied npcs and the read ones are the undead. Am i right?
More or less, yeah. Survivors are unarmed and are really there just for kicks in this case, but it's planned that some maps will have you rescue them by having them follow you to a safer location.
The project's development has really slowed, but I have been doing plenty of coding work since our last news item in January, especially this month. Hopefully this image proves that. There's still plenty of work to be done though. At the moment I'm only working with the map in the screenshot, which I only developed for testing purposes...in other words, we need quality maps. Rawr.
I know I've been busy with my classes. I can't say development will speed up much over the summer either thanks to a full-time internship I have lined up. Nevertheless, I will try to be more forthcoming with what we're working on going forward and I apologize for this inactivity.
We'll be revealing more soon. Unfortunately, we don't have much to show off quite yet, only coding work that has yet to be implemented into an official map beyond testing ones.
Indeed, fully supported too. I have yet to decide what I want to do with it or even if I'll keep it around, but it has been excellent for testing purposes.

Glad to see some news finally.

Any reason you can tell us why the works has slowed down?
I can be blamed for some of that I need to start to work on my map more often.

Better than nothing, doesn't give to much away though.

Keep it up !
OH YES 3rd Person!

Keep third person as an option it will be fun to use.
It reminds me of RE4 and it is a different way of playing the game.
Lol looks like the guy in the middle with the green striped shirt wants to take a bite out of you
is there any chance i can kill the hostes?
Haha, not currently, no. I'm still considering some sort of infection system though.
