Why does your mod have so many folders?
As Sins of a Solar Empire is a 32bit game it is restricted to 2GB of ram utilization as well as other various hard coded limitations. The stacking structure used with this mod allows more than 2GB of content by allowing portions of the mod to be loaded.

Will you support Diplomacy, Entrenchment or Vanilla?
No, I did have previous versions that supported Entrenchment and Diplomacy (See Release History), but have decided the it was too much effort for one person to try and maintain both.

I hear you have a BSG mod too, why isn't it posted here?
For various reasons moddb is no longer hosting any BSG mods, therefore the downloads hosted on this site will never contain any BSG related content.

Sins of the Fallen is one of the largest mods for Sins of a Solar empire boasting 6 unique expansion factions added to the already existing 3 vanilla.

A new video made by Gul-dukat(tech) giving an overview of how to properly activate the mod. Thanks Gul-dukat(tech)!

I've been so pre-occupied lately I had no idea these videos existed. Pretty cool to see...

Is it just me or does it seem like playing as Battle Star Colonials with all the other fallen races makes the game seem abit easy? I'm very economically oriented which seems perfect for the super costly but massively efficient fleets, and once I got the FTL travel for Starbases and upgraded them to max, I'd taken down 2 Hard AI's entire fleets (4-5 Cap ships + 20-30 Frigate/Cruiser + Titan) with just 1 starbase each time... abit overpowered?

Hmm. I'm not sure if its just because of how I choose to play but perhaps buff the remaining races in base stats or upgrade their abilities to heavily counter strike craft - I've seen how heavily reliant on strikecraft the battlestar group is (not that I'm complaining, it's fun to take down a massively defended planet by rediverting 66 squadrons of bombers to handle the starbase whilst I use my fleet to pound the orbital structures). Battlestar Colonials are certainly one of my favourites for their tanky-ness and heavy emphasis on quality over quantity but as a person who always strives for that it makes it seem quite an easy task :P. It could of course just be my playstyle

I don't think that starbases need to be nerfed though i found it weird that a colonial starbase could FTL-jump
perhaps starbases in general could have some anti-strikecraft cannon? it makes sense right?
unfortunately AI is only challenging in the beginning for someone who isnt building much ships, as soon as you are well enough developped you shouldn't meet any obstacles and if you start alone in a star system the AI won't bother your developpment

ps: Does anyone already tried to fight TEC rebel resaercher with heavy pirates ON? f*cking lol with their peace treaty they just use the pirate base as a backdoor and ordered pirates to launch multiples raids at the same time, and i you have the good idea to have another IA or you with Insurrection researched they just stock up 'pirates fleet' in their gravity well
im not saying its a problem though

btw: plague could be a nice touch as a pirate faction + if they could have their starbase to come along
if it happens you could also make their capital ship a little bigger if heavy pirate is enabled

I like to play longer games with lots of AI. I've found that the game just can't handle this mod unless it has the no light carriers mod as well, the AI just spam strike craft and cause the lag spike of death late game which can mean the game is unplayable an hour in.
Still love the mod XD

This is a problem for almost all mods and the base Sins game too. Some modders tried a solution to autodock strikecraft which somewhat works. I might look at an addon for reduced strikecraft... not sure how I feel about no light carriers.
