While the TEC, Advent and Vasari are embroiled in their own struggles for survival a new threat has emerged, intent on spreading it's infectious plague throughout the universe. The sickening ruthlessness in which entire populations are infected or destroyed is alarming to the TEC, Advent and Vasari alike. If the Plague wasn't enough they were immediately followed yet another race calling themselves the Nephilim. The initial encounter with the "Nephilim" held promise they would unite in defeating the Plague. However, Initial attempts at diplomacy have failed as the Nephilim seem single purposed in their pursuit of the Plague.

I just tested it and it seems to be working fine. Did you try selecting another mirror on the download popup?
at the time i was trying to download the particular patch, moddb said there were NO mirrors at all.

seeing as the rogue colony has strong stats, is it supposed to be a combat ship too?
Yes, it is, though it won't last long. Mainly it's used by the AI to harass enemy worlds.
Im having trouble playing this mod, i have the R5, patch 1, and patch 2 in my mod folder,each as a seperate folder so that in each folder there is the mod folders. any ideas?
Patch1 and 2 are meant to overlay their respective folders from the base R5. Feel free to PM me if you need more help.
