I apologize but my new laptop has just decided to die so all the progress to the next version is gone, I will have to restart from 1.2 so release will be sometime in February or March instead of the middle of this month, I really hate redoing things, also a side note, I have started to work on a mod for Skyrim but unfortunately it was also on said laptop so yeah what work was done is gone too.
Hey guys new update for 1.2 though not news worthy:
1. New shield effect, credits in readme
2. Most technologies have more levels
3. All planet bonuses removed for a new system inspired from a couple of other mods
4. All artifacts will have modified effects, some may have technological unlocks
5. Pirate faction tech tree balanced and connected
I have tried the mod as it sits and:
1. I cannot capture most planets.
2. If I do capture a planet I cannot build on it.
3. The weapons are op on all pirate ships.
4. The income seems to favor the pirates being that 5 min. in I had 30,000 credits.
Besides all that great mod and looking forward to a final release.
The Pirates should be able to capture all planets, I will check once I am done moving, the reason for the credit income, is as they have higher credit income as they have no income increasing research, will be fixed/balanced next version. Once you research they really aren't op but if you look at them compaired to enemy ships that have shields as that pirates don't. Will take a look at that to nurf them if they are too powerful.

Can the pirates travel to diffrent star systems? I couldn't figure it out, I couldn't find the research either.
Which version are you using, the Pirates should have had that ability since version 1.
