What will be the benefits of this planet?
As it is currently ingame, the main bonuses of Shipyard planets are bonuses to ship production time and ship build costs. Additionally, the regular and developed shipyard planets have good population, which provides a solid amount of credit income.

You always hear how limited Sins is to mod, and then stuff like this happens.
where are you hearing of this?
Many of Sins features are hardcoded in, basically meaning they're unchangeable in any way.
Also changing some features can potentially break the AI.
